Old Life vs. New Life

There are tons of things going on in my life, but its way too early to tell where it will all end up. I don't really know how to go into details (cause I don't know anything yet!) but I will start to mention some things here...

1-I got a new comic project for 2006! Yes, besides THE OUTCAST, SEQUENTIALMAYHEM and PLEASANT HYMNS, Adam scored a new project. I am in "down time" right now cause I am so caught up and things sorta "happened" to where I got someone else interested in doing a comic project. Its a VAST departure from what I've done before, and I want to do it in such a way that is DYNAMIC! I've kept HYMNS very cartoony, Outcast very dark and gritty... now this one will utilize some artists that are closet favs of mine. Artists like J. Scott Campbell, Al Rio, and others. DYNAMIC! Its a one shot but you never know where things can lead! Right now I am about 99% sure its happening. I got a script and have done several character sketches, as well as a possible cover or poster. Once approved, I will go forward with the actual page work. Should take a month or two to complete it. Due out in August in time for WIZARD WORLD CHICAGO! As for what it is, what its about, I'll keep you guessing. Detials soon.

2-Going to southern Illinois this next week to see my parents. I miss them very much but part of me is dreading the visit. My parents are in declining health and I've heard that they have "walkers" now. Its just something that is hard to see/understand. But go, I will. I love driving anyway!

3-My son's mother is very sick. I'll avoid details but I really don't know what is going to happen. We've discussed the possiblities and whatever comes, comes. I guess I'll ask for you to keep my son's mother in your prayers for me. Prayers seem to help.

4-The wife and I are seriously considering having our first child. As in, THIS YEAR! Its something we've talked about quite a lot, and I guess now is the time before I REALLY get old! I am not looking to have a whole bunch. Just one. If two, whatever. But one is enough! If and when this happens, the plan is that I will go down to part time at my job and become "mr.mom" at home. Thus, FREEING ME UP TO DO MY COMIC WORK!!!!!! Good news there. So, inbetween burping babies and changing diapers, I'll have a pen in the other hand inking away. I'll let you know if anything develops here.

5-I am in talks with various places to possibly have an IDIOTHEAD LIVE show around the time of our new album's release. I hope it happens. I'll keep you posted.

Well, there are tons of small things that I could post about, but I'll leave it at that. Its a busy time with me, but rest assured, I cannot wait for my 2006 comic tour to start and get some shit going!!! Keep checking back folks!

Luvs, T
