Faster we run....

Tuesday--

I get up with a stiff back from sleeping on the couch. The wife has bronchitus so I am sleeping away from her to avoid catching it. She's called in sick all week so she is stuck at home with nothing to do but hack away at the liquid in her lungs with loud coughs. Poor girl.

I piss about the house until heading to work. There inbetween working I finally burn Pleasant Hymns Tradebook and MAYHEM to disc, to send to their respective printers in the morning. Makes me happy to see two big projects finally done and archived on disc. Organization rocks.

I get home around 4am, and pass out watching Robot Chicken.

Wednesday--

I get up around 2pm. I get an email from Shane saying that our recording session in a couple weeks is cancelled cause they got other plans. We make plans to reconveine in June or so. Which means the third IDIOTHEAD CD will not see release till July or August. ALready off to a great start with our new company. Late releases all around. But its not like we've got thousands of fans pounding at our door for our stuff! It just would have been nice to have to take to Novi. I am bummed.

I piss about the house until I leave early to get some salad and grilled chicken. (see diet blog at forum at head site). And head to work. Someone ends up not communicating or doing thier job and when we think we have the proofs done, we the artists find a whole basketfull of more ads! So, they get hung up and everyone leaves, except for me! I do about 20 more ads before calling it a night, after I busted arse to get all the proofs done for once. I was gonna be proud. Fuckin' bastards.

I get home around 3:30am and pass out watching DEEP SPACE NINE.

Thursday---

I sleep till around 3pm. Wake up and piss around the house. I check email and get opinions from several sources about the future of Pleasant Hymns.

See, for a while now, I've been convinced that the title confuses some into thinking its a church book, so they avoid it. I have thought through many options from changing the title, to a total new relaunch and new #1. The answer will come later this year. I am already preparing for it. Depending on which factors fall into place, that is what I am going to do. But as it stands, Tradebook #3 is the last "Pleasant HYMNS" book there might ever be. Will it take another incarnation? Stay tuned...

I head to work and work till 4am, busting arse and doing about 45-55 ads. I get home and pass out to more DEEP SPACE NINE.

Friday---

I get to work and am in a very bad mood for some reason. I bring my drawing book, as I know I probebly will have a huge commercial job to do, and I will be waiting about 7 hours to get to a negative printing machine. And... I Was right.

In that 7 hour time, I drew three new pages of EARTHGIRL and inked about 1/2 to 3/4's of them. They are looking really great. Also, I came up with a new storyline for a new comic. (detials later).

After freaking out unnecessarily about work and having to wait, which was a combo of stress and general hatred of my job, I calm down and print my 225 negatives. I finally leave around 3:45am. I get home and pass out to FAMILY GUY, sleeping next to my wife, who is feeling lots better.

Saturday---

I Wake up around noon and ask the wife for a trip to K-zoo. We opt for Lansing instead. I buy 3 DEMO comics, while she buys 15 SIMPSONS back issues (yeah, she spent more at a comic shop than me for once!) We go to the mall and to the porno shop. I stock up on mags (for drawing from) and some videos. We head home.

She heads to work while I get about an hour of drawing in and take a nap till 1:30am. My car is acting up again, so I keep her car, and I have to get her when she gets out at 4am. I spend time updating sites and doing some writing. I pass out around 7am watching DEEP SPACE NINE.
