WEND-FRIDAY---
I'm solidifying these days cause either my events were too mundane and boring to mention, or so much time has passed that I cannot recall exactly what I did. But suffice it to say, I went to work, pretended to work and drew. As always.
Some good things came out of this week though. I finished the album cover art to ZOOMAZOAPOZA and uploaded it to our site. I also developed some new pics and uploaded them to the site. I finished 11 more pages of Earthgirl. 3 more to go and its el fineto! and, I finished the PLEASANT LIFE #2 script. Very funny and a shocker cliffhanger! YOu know how much I hate them, but this time, its worth it. Its definatly gonna make you want to get #3 to find out what happened! But enough on that for now.
I've decided to shake things up a bit as far as my printing schedule goes. Its come down to the fact that I am lacking funds to print OUTCAST #1 and reprint HYMNS trades in time for Chicago. Thats fine. I got plenty of other stuff to sell, plus EARTHGIRL will be released around then. So I will have new stuff. But with PLEASANT LIFE taking the front seat back, where does that leave OUTCAST? It isn't feasible for me to do two bi-monthlies. So, I am gonna publish OUTCAST as tradebooks and PLEASANT LIFE as regular comics. It seems cheaper and that way, the fans of both series can get the stories they love. More economical for me to do it that way. So, JANUARY 1st is the launch date officially for both. Sorry for the delay folks. But as you may have read previous, I've got a second job to help pay for my books. In 2007, I will be doing A LOT more cons. Still CHICAGO WIZARD WORLD, but also San Diego, Heroes Con, Pittsburgh and who knows what else! 2006 definatly was a step up (and its not over yet!) and the plans are in motion for 2007 to rock hard! Its definate. This aint just me blowin' smoke up your ass. I'm coming to your town and gonna rock it! But enough on that stuff later. Back to mundane details..
SATURDAY--
Went at 11am and picked up my son and came back home to play video games. Passed out watching Scooby Doo.
SUNDAY---
More video games and cartoons. I did manage to squeeze in an hour of drawing. But my son demands attention from me when he is here. So, I spent most of my time watching HIM play video games and cartoons. I sweltered in the heat and passed out around 1am. A bad headache from lack of caffine (diet in full swing!)
MONDAY---
Again, the wake up at 7am. Ugh! More video games and cartoons. We cleaned up the house and I dropped him off with his mom at 1pm, not before weathering a huge traffic jam on I-75! UGH!
I get back and clean up some more. I also take some DVDs and CDs in to sell, so I can have some gas money. VERY broke this week I am. I am in full knowledge that tomarrow I have orientation for McDonalds and this is my last full day with my goatee. I already miss it, and its not gone. Believe me folks, if there were any other way....
But I digress. Its a good thing. A bit of suffering for a lifetime of greatness. I get to print my comics. I'll have money for our vacations. I'll pay off my debts. It is a good thing. Very good thing.
But why must I dress and look like everyone else there? McDonalds wants all their employees to look alike. I remember seeing old newsreels from the 1940's that had the same ideals. But they were hard to understand cause the narration was in GERMAN!
ZEIG HEIL RONALDA!
Today, relaxing, watching X-men 1-2 so I can take the wife to see X-3. Then tomarrow.... slavery.
See yeh on the flipside.
