Thursday----
I wake up and go to my job from 11-3pm. I get home and wrestle playfully with the wife. (and no, thats not a cute code for gettin' it on. We seriously just wrestled.) Then went to get some food. Then the trip/money troubles talk started. I get slightly miffed at the lack of funds we are keeping as we are fast approaching 9 days away from my dream vacation trip. A Trip I've wanted to take for the last eight years. Here's my luck...
I got a second job to give ME extra spending money for the trip. We had it worked out where Kelly would have $400 to spend and we'd have around $500-700 for the trip. Slowly cause of gas, bills and etc, that funding got whittled down. We even got another credit card to help pay for car repairs and a tune up for the trip car. Whatever was left on it was going to gas for the trip. It was a $500 limit and we got the AC fixed and a tune up and it maxed out. Yay.
Then, we talk about cashing in the wife's 401K for the trip. They denied us the chance at doing that. We got the splended news that we owe CMU $100 for back book bills. Then, we got nailed with a couple late fees for bills we had forgot to pay. (believe me, it happens). and remember back to that phone fiasco? (check this blog a few weeks ago), now the phone company says we still owe them $200 and put us in collections. That is flat out impossible!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! Read the blog before and you'll see what I mean, as I am too red to retype it now.
Okay, so we whittled the trip down by a couple of days and I agreed to stay away 2 solid days to limit our hotel stays to two days. I can drive overnight there and come back okay. I can do it. I am that pumped about the trip.
Well, now....
My second job is fucked. I got a notice yesterday that Friend of the Court took an extra $40 out of that check that they didn't need to for my child support. AS I am already paying out of the other job, I dunno why they did that, but now that check is $40 less. AND I didn't get full hours. Plus, the wife transferred down to floor supervisor and her changeover date was the middle of the week, which left her check one half a week short.
NOW, we are down to the bare minimum for funds. I'm starting to once again doubt we can make this trip. I am very very frustrated and so is the wife. Rightfully so. Every year we struggle hard to make this trip and at the last minute, we have to cancel. But I am determined to make it this time! I am pawning whatever I have to to make it happen.
Whew... sorry for the rant there. But aint Murphy's Law a bitch?
See yeh next week.
luvs, T
