TUESDAY-----
Something I neglected to say about monday night: The wife felt like taking a drive at 11pm, and we drove to lansing to the LIONS' DEN Porn shop. She bought a couple of mags and we both both the 3 DVD deal. On the way there and back, we talked and spent time together like the good ol' days before our jobs have been taking us apart slowly. Very nice.
Anyway, tuesday... I woke up early and contacted my print company and Melody about EARTHGIRL details. Speaking of which, I have a new surprise coming for everyone, but it will have to wait for now.
I send off copies of PLEASANT HYMNS book #3 to a couple website review writers. Anxious to see what comes of that. I head to the wife's work and sit there and draw on two more pages of Pleasant Life #1. The wife is VERY upset cause she got 100 cars though the McDonalds drive thru and she got yelled at cause they didn't use the tandom system McDonalds sometimes uses. So, despite the fact she did something that NO other restaurant manager is doing in all of the tri-city area, she still isn't good enough. Its kinda Mcdonald's track record for you. I learned that about eight years ago when I quit. But I digress. Thats a novel.
I head to the newspaper and get my work done and update sites and artwork. then I head home and pass out.
WEDNESDAY----
I picked up a shift at another McDonalds in our town, cause I am desperately trying to save money for our jersey trip. Turns out that MY restaurant needed my help too, but I was already committed to working at Remus Rd. I went there and had a terrible time. They were the rudest bunch of arses I've ever met. I never even got a thank you for helping them out. I guess grattitude is a big thing for me. I'll snap you off real good, as long as I get a thank you for my trouble, you know? But I got fuck all. That store is one wave short of a shipwreck. So thats the last time I volunteer to work there. I head back to my restaurant to punch in and out and get my schedule and head to the newspaper.
I downloaded several episodes of Fanboy Radio. The newest one has Ronee Garcia B, a gal who will soon be reviewing my comic. Boy am I nervous now! I want her to like it. I think she will though. I'm confident that I did a good job on book #3.
I work my 10 hour shift and go home to pass out as soon as I walk in the door. Dead tired. How long can I keep this up?
THURSDAY---
I wake up for a 12-5pm shift at my McDonalds Restaurant. I gotta say it was a fun shift. I got along with everyone. I worked hard, lost weight (I think) and its going well. My new attitude there is working out for me (read FRIDAY's blog post for more on that!). Everyone there I am liking alot. Everyone is starting to warm up to me and realizing that I am a goofball. I'm trying to keep my jaded mouth shut, but sometimes, it doesn't work out that way. It is a stressful job. A LOT more stressful than the newspaper. But if you go into it like I am, it will wash off your back. Nuff said.
Its funny. One guy that works there looks so much like my old McDonalds pal, Mike Bergey. Everytime I see him there, I for a split second think its 1995 all over again. But its not. Its 2006. Eleven years later! UGH... Get over it Adam!!!!
I get out and head to my work to check email and site stuff. No news from the printer or reviews yet. I chat with Shane. He was gonna come up this weekend, but it will be NEXT weekend instead. I was gonna go down there, but gas money for the upcoming trip to Jersey is preventing it. Bum deal, but its oh so necessary. In two short weeks, I will see my 1st mountain, the ocean, the QUICK STOP from CLERKS... and so much more.
Its gonna rock!
Thats all for now folks. Sorry to bore you. You can slit your wrists at your Mcleisure.
