SATURDAY---
I wake up around 1pm and Kelly and I decide to get grocieries. And we go see CLERKS 2 for the second time. I'll tell yeh, I love that film. In many many parts, it totally reflects parts of my life. I totally felt like Randal did when he said lines like "what do you care what I do man? You're leaving!" Cause thats how I felt once when my best friend left and moved on with his life. And in the final part when he says "You're my best friend. Don't leave me." I felt that way too. Luckily, I got my best friend back and we got a band, and a successful company together. Now, I see that same best friend in Randal's line "You're my best friend. Don't leave me." Its like my own best friend is standing there in Randal's place, saying that to me. "Don't move to california. Don't move to New Jersey." And I won't. It makes me tear up every time. Cause I love my best friend. He's a brother to me. His family is my family.
Does that make me gay?
Anyway, we get grocieries and spend the day together watching Family Guy and she passes out watching jewelry and I draw some cool looking 11x17 pieces to show off at Wizard World next weekend. I pass out around 3am.
SUNDAY---
I do the weekly call to the folks. They are doing fine. I mention how broke we were for the trip next weekend, and like the angels on earth they are, they offer to loan us some quid that we can pay back later in the month! Love ya mom and dad! I feel so lucky to have parents that will reach out and give support to me. Even though they may not 100% understand why I do what I do, they let me and help me do it! I wouldn't enjoy this trip without them! Thanks!
So, I have a good day. I sleep in till 4pm (yowza!!!) and do laundry. LOTS of laundry. I clean house and organize stuff to sell and pack my suitcases full of comics, table set up stuff and other things I might need. Then the wife and I watch the entire 1st season of Curb Your Enthusiasm and I draw two really awesome drawings. One is inspired by CLERKS. The other is a hottie girl in lingerie. That will sell!
I toss and turn till 6am cause of alot of stuff on my mind. Plus its SUPER hot up here!!!
MONDAY---
After getting only 5 hours of sleep, I get up and shower and head to McDonalds. I spend 2 hours on front counter and 3 on assembly table. No MEATS thank god. And especially so today cause its 107 Degrees~!!!! I'm sweating my balls off. You know how it gets so hot and your scrote sticks to your legs constantly, like its a seeping soggy piece of cheese out in the sun? Yeah...
I head into the newspaper, picking up extra hours since I will be off this Thursday and Friday, due to Wizard World. I scan some artwork and update sites. Last minute things I have to take care of before leaving for Wizard World.
.... and still no EARTHGIRL comics. I hope I get them before the con!!!
