I got yer reference pic right here... also, LOST rant...

Pretty good weekend. I didn't get much drawing done so far, but I am starting on some pages of Pleasant Life #3 tonight. I spent part of saturday doing a shopping gig in lansing. I bought some more PVP, STAR TREK poster mags and a couple books. There went my last McDonalds check!

I also spent most of the weekend renting the TV show, LOST on DVD. I spent around $25 renting the first whole season and part of the second. At first, I liked the first season. It had alot of elements that made me have a geekgasm and the first night I watched it, I could barely sleep cause I wanted to know what was going on. So I pressed on and sat through episode after episode. Its quite frustrating cause its 1/2 new island stuff and 1/2 flashback stories. I want to move FORWARD! And when they do, some things are answered but are cryptic/vague enough or just create 3000 more questions! So, after watching the first 4 episodes of the second season, I opted to not go back out and rent the other discs, but just read what happens online... and I am glad I did. The payoffs don't deliver in my view. I understand its early, but I am frustrated. I want to get to the getting already! I can see why people enjoy it, but I just don't have time for it. I hate "twist" endings and things that try to fuck with my head week after week. I'll certainly keep up via online, but I cannot devote time to getting into it. So, no LOST watching parties for me. But its good writing. J.J. Abrahms has demonstrated to me that he is a good guy to do STAR TREK.... so long as it delivers and does no "Twist" crap. But it will likely all be told in flashbacks! (cause it deals with early kirk and spock stuff so I hear!)

Anyway, after lounging around all weekend, I am just drained. Ever do nothing for a couple days and it drains you? Yeah. But tonight I will get some new pages done.

The extent of the damage on the whole harddrive fry is irreversable, so I've lost everything. If I hadn't already said that Pleasant Life #1 was delayed, I would be now for sure. It will take me a month to get back to where I was. Seems to always happen to me doesn't it? I'd love a copy of QUARK and PHOTOSHOP for MAC for X-mas!!!! Anyone??

The wife and I had a serious discussion today about saving for our move. Seems we've drifted a bit off track and need to get back on. I also said that I don't want xmas presents. I want to put that money back into my comics. Like, paying for my tables for next year. I seriously want to hit ALOT of Cons. Its my 5th Anniversary with Pleasant Life, so why not??

Still trying to find an artist to take over OUTCAST. I'm looking at 3 people right now. Hopefully once I get samples back, I'll know where to go.

I made a surprise announcement back at the CHAT FORUM at the head site. Go to the COMICS section to see it. The guessing and contest is over.

I've been getting alot of headaches lately. I dunno why. Maybe I need heroin?

Okay, back to the drawing board....literally.
