Seems obvious, but for today's younger generation... some are missing out. so let me reiterate..
Its hard to find a musician today that isn't influenced in some way by The Beatles. They were more than a band. Words cannot even describe what they are, and I am not going to attempt it.
Before I wanted to pick up the guitar, before I wanted to write or be creative, there was always the music. All four members. All four unique souls. A combination never matched or heard of since. Great together, great apart but always bottom line: GREAT!
I think its obvious to list THE BEATLES as an influence, but I'm finding that today's younger folks haven't had the upbringing with this great band that my generation and those before did. If you are younger and haven't given this band a chance... don't write them off as "oldies." Not by a longshot. Give em a chance. Please. I beg you.
Without their music and influence, music wouldn't be what it is today, and neither would I. Thanks to my mom for showing me those awesome records with the apples on them when I was a toddler. I was forever changed.
Its hard to pick a favorite Beatles tune or record for that matter. In my life, I've loved them all.
