FRIDAY—
I get up around 9:30 and find an email from work in my inbox. Apparently, instead of the noon-8pm shift I was promised to work when I accepted the position of manager, I am to work 4pm-12am shifts only now. At first I am pretty angry. But then the wife is convinced we can work around her work schedule better with that for now. So perhaps I will not be done at Lions Den so quickly after all… unless I am fired for some small mundane thing that they keep pulling out and nailing me for. So, bide my time for now. I guess.
I head into work and work a noon-8pm shift, receiving orders. We got a cool pinup calendar in and I intend to pick it up once I get some money. I come home around 8:30 and watch the wife finish feeding Scott. She takes off for Wallgreens to get formula and a late night dinner (pizza hut) for us. I stay home, check email and listen to last night’s podcasts while sketching, working on commission work. Then I stop and we decide to show Ted “SHAUN OF THE DEAD,” which he’s never seen. Mid-way through, I feel sleepy so I head to the bedroom to pass out.
Throughout the night I wake up a few times with extreme tendancies to head to the bathroom in a panic, crapping my brains out. Severe stomach aches followed, to which I think declared myself and Pizza Hutt OFF LIMITS!
SATURDAY—
I wake up around 6:30am and head into work early to make up hours. I am working an 8-4 shift for a co-worker today cause they got a wedding to go to. I sit and do some sketching at work (A big no-no, but at this point, I’m already on the edge. Come what may!) I redo a commission piece for a customer I am working with currently, as well as start a new pinup piece for the collection to come. I listen to podcasts in one ear while keeping eyes out for customers. That’s not to say I actually did some work today too! I even was in a pretty damn good mood. Except at 4pm, when both my relief co-workers were late as usual!
I get out and head home, pick up the family +Ted and head to Target to return a few things. Then to Wallgreens for litter, cat food, soda and some more formula. Then we stop off to NEON GRILL for some of their world famous hamburgers before heading home. We scarf down the burgers, which immediately makes me tired as shit. I take a nap from 5:30-9pm. I declare to the wife that after today’s fast food trip, I am officially done with eating out food for a while, save for one day a week where the wife and I will go somewhere as a couple with the kid. Just need to cut down for funds, health reasons.
After waking up at 9pm, I get up and take a pic of the commission I redid and send it off to the customer. Then work on the rest of the new pinup girl thing I started at work. I update the blog and check various websites, shooting out emails to those who I have neglected the past few days. I upload some pics to Deviant as well. I pass out sometime after midnight.
