THURSDAY--I wake up and we meet my parents for breakfast at Perkins. Good breakfast there. The social worker at the hospital says we gotta move out of the hospitality room there because another family is in more dire need, so they are transferring us to a hospitality HOUSE about 4 blocks away. (sadness)
We visit with my parents and Scotty (who is taken OFF of oxygen and placed into a simple crib!!!!!) and then I pack up our things from the room and head over to the new place to drop them off. Immediately, I am not impressed. Its an old colonial house where the wiring sucks. No fan to sleep with. No wifi. We cannot plug in anything, including cellphone chargers. AND we have to be in every night at 10pm no matter what. (sigh) So I head back to the hospital via a ride with security you have to wait for (you're not allowed to drive and park there) and I pick up my folks and they follow me back past their hotel. I drive on and head back to St. Joe and then Sawyer to the porn shop for my 4-12 shift. I score some mcdonalds and sit and shoot the shit with everyone. Then everyone leaves and I am alone.
I spend the majority of my shift just sitting, wishing I were back an hour and a half up the road at the hospital with kelly and Scott. Kelly texts me and calls me repeatedly from the house saying how much it sucks and she cannot sleep. I sympathize till my shift is over at midnight.
I head home and clean out the cat box and re-feed some VERY LONELY AND HUNGRY kitties. I check email and pop in to listen to the LATE NIGHT LOUNGE PODCAST on Talkshoe. Makes me smile even whne I am slightly depressed that I am home alone.
I pass out around 3am.
FRIDAY--
I get up, pack and head over to Wallgreens to pick up Kelly's insurance forms by 7am and then head back to Kalamazoo. I pick up Kelly from the hospitality house, which we've decided to abandon the idea of using, in favor of staying in our car instead. We meet my parents for quick breakfast at which time they offer to put us up in a hotel! (love those parents!) We head to the hospital and spend lots of time rocking and feeding Scotty, who is getting MUCH BETTER! He's eating 30cc's of food and is almost off of his IV. I am hoping that by tomarrow, he is completely off of it and maybe, just maybe... they will send us home! Lets hope for that.
After a few hours, we left with my folks back to Perkins to get lunch. While there, Gloria realizes she has lost her credit card! But luckily, she lost it at Perkins earlier when we had breakfast so it was there! Whew. They retire to their room and we head back to the hospital for another feeding. After that, I hold him for an hour. Then I take off to go to wallgreens to get supplies and my folks some chocolate they called me craving. So I drop off the chocolate and chat with them for a bit and head back to the hospital for another late night feeding and hang with the family.
In an hour or two, we'll leave and head to the hotel with my folks and try to get some sleep. They are leaving out in the morning and I want to see them alot before they leave.
