Yes... I've seen it.. Okay?

Had quite a few messages/notes asking me if I have seen the new STAR TREK trailer and what I thought of it. for those that havent yet: apple.com/trailers/paramount/startrek/large_trailer2.html

Overall, I'd say it looks pretty cool. It seems to indeed be a departure from what we know as "STAR TREK" while still retaining a similar feel. I hope it pleases fans new and old. I have various overanalization nit picks here and there but fuck it. Lets wait till the film comes out.

What excites me is that everyone (even non trek fans) are buzzing about the film. Its getting alot of hype and press. unlike NEMESIS did. I rememeber I barely read anything about it or saw anything about it before it premiered. So I am glad the world seems ready for more Star Trek. My final say on it is that I cannot walk into it being anything but a longtime fan of the franchise and so I cannot weigh it in any other way than that. If it dissapoints me on that level, I'll try not to ruin it for the rest of you by spewing bile and ire.

Again, its a long way till May 8th.
