Business and busy-ness...

Well things are shaping up nicely. I announced last night the pre-order for my first sketchbook and already I got a few takers. I'm only printing very little, but I am adjusting my order for people who pre-order it. Assuredly, the only way to GUARANTEE you can get one is through this pre-order. So please take advantage of it.

In other news I got this in the mail today:

Yeah, I am a nerd. but if you remember my post about the old 70's pilot a few months back, I did like the show. So I finally decided to buy myself a birthday present and get this BSG complete series on DVD. But I promised myself I would not crack it open until I get my work done. So I started more word balloons last night. I added some funny lines here and there to Pleasant Life pages, and man its coming along real nice! I am hoping to have the whole book done and in the can/ready to print by Feb 1st, superbowl time.

Speaking of Superbowl, it is upon us. Steelers vs. Cardinals. I guess I am rooting for Pittsburgh. but if the Cards win, I wouldn't be mad about it. they went from a shitty team to being Super Bowl contenders. Either way, I wouldn't miss a superbowl, so I adjusted my sunday schedule so I could watch it. I pissed off a couple co-workers but fuck it. I worked all the holidays this year, so LEAST they could do is let me have Superbowl night off!

This coming weekend is my 31st birthday. We were planning to go to Mt. Pleasant but time and lack of funds really kinda nixed it. Not to mention the thought of driving through the crappy snow covered roads is less than appealing as well. So I guess we are hangin' out here. I do plan to get alot of work done on word balloons and scanning. Now that I got one project DONE (sketchbook) I am fueled to finish the rest. Once Pleasant Life is complete then post-production begins on THE OUTCAST. Wish me luck.

But as to what we are doing on my birthday? No clue. Maybe the wife and I will celebrate with some ponderosa or chillis, and maybe finally a trip to Kalamazoo to get my comics which have been sitting in my pull box for almost 2 months. That would be nice! Then all day do some work, spend time online. Maybe take in some DVDs with the wife and do some drinking. An ideal birthday for a home bodied old man like me. I'll sit at home and listen to my victrolla and Edison Cylinders.

A message to you people who STILL insist on buying and pursuing the use of VHS: "GET WITH THE FUCKIN' PROGRAM!"

Anyway, thats the plan for this week. I work Wednesday-Thursday and I got Friday-Tuesday off. Thank God for that. I needs a vacation, badly!
