Well, I got the official news that one of my favorite shows, PITTSBURGH COMIC CON has been pushed back from April to September of this year! Major bummer. I was so looking forward to starting con season in April, seeing my friends and setting a cool tone for the year. But I guess my first convention appearance will be this MAY, at MOTOR CITY COMIC CON. I love that show, but its kinda away from my podcast pals. I do have friends there though, that I am looking forward to seeing of course. Plus, I am bringing the family with me to that, so it will still feel sorta like "home" in a way. Just kinda bummed cause I was itching to hit a convention soon!
The reason for the move on dates is cause the old venue has closed and they are building a NEW venue across the street from the old one. Plus the awesome host hotel RADISSON is being renovated. So it was a mish mash of troubles all around. In the end, its better to move the show for them, and I totally understand. I still am 100% going and looking forward to it.
Seems I get a bit more time for printing than originally planned. Whether I take advantage of that or not, is what is to be decided in the coming few weeks. I plan to get alot done tonight at work and during the SABO show on talkshoe. I am in the home stretch, within 10 pages of finishing THE OUTCAST art and so I am pushing through as best I can. Not RUSHING, but pacefully working hard. I am in the middle of the climax of a huge fight scene and I've not drawn many fight scenes before. Coreographing is new to me. So I am learning new things.
But thats whats important right?
So, I guess I'll have to line up a couple more store appearances to fill in the gap left vacant by Pittsbrugh con moving. But at least it will likely be the last con of the year for me. I plan to live it up at the show! A fitting end to what has potential to be, a killer year for me.
Stay tuned.
