Stuff and nonsense of a nerd king.

Life drifts by.

Lil' Scotty is teething pretty bad so he's been extremely moody as of late. Whenever we get outside of 4 feet of him, he starts whining. Its been tough to balance and take care of him, as well as take care of our regular house/work needs. I had to take a couple days off from artwork to tend to him. He's not too bad today. I got a couple pages of the commission I was hired for colored in photoshop. I sent them to the client for approval. I'll work on the other two today and get them done. then nap, then work tonight. I'm also working on coloring new prints to sell at conventions this year. I want to get this commission out of the way first and then work on that. The DALEK I posted before is one of them. I got flat colors on it now, and will work on highlights and clean ups later.

My head is still spinning from seeing STAR TREK last night. I cannot get it out of my head, how awesome it was. I've really been examining it, backwards and forwards, just seeing if I was over-reacting but really, I must confess... it fucking rocks! Its probebly heading to rank as my second favorite STAR TREK film. (Nothing beats the deified WRATH OF KHAN!) I scored some of theBurger King glasses this week. I got two more to get. I think I may get a few more of the toys too, including the ENTERPRISE. Maybe two of them. (one to open and for Scotty and I to play with, the other for the "collection!") I also want to get the SCORE from the film. Its got a great hummable main theme that is repeated throughout the film, with homages to the original Alexander Courage theme somewhere in teh film. I won't spoil it for you.

All in all, it was great. Absolute greatness. the wife is even stoked to see it. We gotta see if we can get a babysitter for a couple hours so I can drag her to see it with me again. I wish I could go see it again right now. I would if I could, trust me. But I want to see her reaction to it. I think anyone going into this film will walk out a STAR TREK FAN! I mean it.

Anyway, Scotts starting to whine a bit so its probebly bottle or teething ring time. The wife comes home in a bit so then I'll get down to finishing coloring. I hope there are no more changes to what I got done!
