I was excited to see this ever since seeing the preview on the Clerks 2 disc. It was delayed for a long time and now is finally out. Overall, I thought it was okay. There were a couple parts where I actually laughed out loud. Mostly because of the odd sayings of the characters. The film is essentially DUMB & DUMBER meets FREE ENTERPRISE, but only STAR WARS glazed. Its for hardcore Star Wars fans and thats fine. My beloved Trek fans are depicted in the film as hardcore nerds. And nerd fights are always pretty fun right? However, everytime they come on screen, its not funny. The cameos are uninspired as well. Each time I saw an actor come on that I knew, I thought "ALL RIGHT! HERE WE GO!" But each time, it fell flat. Pointless really. The only one that was decent involved Kevin Smith. I would have liked them to go further with the humor. Just spouting off obvious jokes don't work. I found myself more excited by the archive room in the Lucasfilm Ranch than anything else. The characters are not inspired and are basic cookie cutter fans. And also, I hard time believing that 1-a hollywood type of hottie girl works in a comic shop and 2-falls for the dorkiest of the group. Impossible. What did he use? the force? (bad joke there. Sorry.) But some of the cameos were okay. And any movie with Chris McDonald in it has to be on my radar a bit. It was watchable. but I wouldn't own it. FREE ENTERPRISE was better.

MY NAME IS BRUCE
I was excited for this as well, for obvious reasons. But I gotta say, I found this one to be quite a dissapointment. In fact, tedious. It wasn't funny whatsoever. And the overuse of Ted Rami in unfunny (and often times, uncomfortably racist) roles didn't help much. But for longtime Bruce fans, its worth one watch. Definatly won't own it. Glad I held off to rent it. Some okay gore and hamming it up. And a great joke at Bill Shatner's expense. But again, not really that good. I love Bruce, but sometimes too much can be too much.
