On OUTCAST delay, SAN DIEGO and other things....

Hey folks.

Thought I'd go into publically why OUTCAST has been pushed back to next year. As you can imagine, having a child is extremely demanding and so I haven't been able to work as much on the project as I wanted to. Also in that wait, I've began to evolve as an artist. Looking back at the pages I have done, I see positives and negatives. but the desire to redraw what I am not 100% happy with is too great.

The OUTCAST is my epic story, and I want it to come out right. So I intend to work on it throughout the rest of the year and finish it in time for con season next year. Now that Pleasant Life is done and off my plate, I can focus 100% on this project. I have taken some time to work on myself and continue to do so. Fixing mistakes and bad habits I have. So its an ongoing process. I've been going through artistic rehab if you like. But I have done a page or two in this process and they are coming out nice! Very nice. I'll share with you all soon.

In addition to this, I've been working on a pitch project for SAN DIEGO. Something vastly different than I've done before. If it gets picked up, I will work on it. But I am expecting not. I also am doing sample pages for a couple companies I have been targeting. No doubt you can guess from my recent pics on my blog here. Yeah. We'll see what happens. I am not getting any hopes up. But the value of the lessons learned from my first time reviews and pitches should be quite valuable. I got some good pointers the other night on our episode of BREAKING THE PANEL, and I certainly am applying what I learned. Once the pages are finished, I will share them all with you for free here. You can reflect on what could be/might be/should be. :)

For the rest of 2009, here's my plan:

JULY-SAN DIEGO visit. pitch, project, big dick it.

AUGUST-Work on OUTCAST, commissions, start on WISE INTELLIGENCE tradebook.

SEPTEMBER-Pittsburgh Comic Con (last appearance for the year)

The rest of the time is Outcast, Wise Intelligence and commissions. Plus, I may do another Expendables in there. We'll see what happens.

So plenty still to come from me. The delay in the OUTCAST is simply family needs coming first. And that I want it to come out as best as it can be.

Okay, back to your lives.

T
