UP UP GOBBLE GOBBLE

We watched UP on disc this past week. After hearing everyone hype it up to me so much, I gotta say in the end after watching it, I didn't think it was so completely 'blow me away' awesome. It was good, but not my favorite. I think I enjoyed INCREDIBLES and WALL-E even more. Plus I think the film is uber sad. It really bums you out in the beginning and then takes you on this journey which tends to cross over to the quite unbelievable. Like old men turn into Supermen in strength type of thing. I know, its a kids movie, so I'll let that slide. I will say that it was beautifully animated. You can actually see stubble on the characters. I think they ruined all the funny stuff in the trailer for the film, so I didn't laugh at it when I saw it again.

Grade: B. It was good. I'd still see it. I just think I've seen better.

This past week, the wife and I have been going back and forth about what to do as far as living space. She wanted to move to South Bend to this complex which was boasting 3 bedrooms and a loft. The pics looked really nice. We went and looked and it was crap. Smaller rooms and just junky looking. Like a college town apartment complex would be. So then we were shown a three bedroom here in our own complex and we pretty much decided that that is the way we are going. Come January to April, there's a couple different 1st floor 3 bedroom apartments that will be opening up and we can shove our crap in there for an extra $40 a month. As much as I hate the idea of moving ALL OUR STUFF, its probably a valuable option. We need the space. And we've got alot of crap. Course, I'm still working on selling alot of it on ebay and such, but its not going fast enough. So come January or April for sure, we'll be moving. (Down the hall or across the courtyard, but a move nonetheless!)

Attempted a diet this week. Slimfast. And it was over before it started. Will get back on the horse again this week.

We celebrated our thanksgiving yesterday. Kelly has to work the week of Thanksgiving, so we decided to do it early. We pigged out on potatoes, turkey, dumplings and biscuits. We really didn't discuss what we were thankful for at all, so I will do it here.

---I am thankful for---

-A healthy family.

-One more year of successful comic book work. Seems its getting better, and my profits/being known by others is increasing.

-A great STAR TREK movie that blew away my expectations. Something rare for me, cause I always have high expectations.

-A wife who continues to put up with my ass.

-Learning patience when it comes to Scotty and other little ones.

-Ability to obtain those things that I want reasonably. I got what I wanted, and what I needed. And thats great!

-For one year of time to focus on my work more instead of slaving away at a job that was sucking my life away. Fate let me take flight and its working. Soon, I will soar above the skies as I fully intended all along.

-For being able to go to Heroes Con and San Diego Con for the first time. Those were the times of my life. I will go there again!

I think thats all I got for now. I'm sure there is much more. I guess I am just one lucky motherfucker of a guy.

Cheers, T
