Hey All. Got some downtime inbetween stuff.
I NEED A VACATION! Can I say that louder? The closest thing I got coming is May, when I go to Dallas Con. (you got tickets yet? GET SOME!) Other than that, its been all work, hardly any play. I've only messed with my Ipad maybe 2-3 times since we've got it and its been less than 2 hours at a time really. And that counts watching a netflix movie.
I am seriously considering after Anna II is done later this year, taking 6 months off from artwork. I mean, still work on commissions and the things I will have to do for Secret Project X. But slow down on the GN stuff for a while. I got LINGERIE MASSACRE to do for next year Halloween. and an 8 pager in the upcoming horror anthology But thats it really. So unless I get some paid hired work, I may slow down and give myself a break. Trust me, after what I am doing in ANNA II, I will deserve a break. Its huge baby.
Anyway, I guess I am just feeling burned out in general and would love a day or two off. To sleep in past noon and just sit and watch TV. Do nothing. I am 100% dedicated to my craft, but every now and then you earn a vacation. Right?
I'm not complaining mind you. I love my work. And the feedback I get from ANNA everyday has been extremely uplifting! Makes me want to deliver even more on the sequel! So don't take it the wrong way. Even sometimes people need a break from a good thing. You dig?
Maybe its cause I haven't hit a con since last year October. And it was June before that. Just feeling the itch to get outta dodge for a night or two. Maybe I'll see if I can organize a weekend with a friend or the family and go out and rock. We'll see. Doesn't take much to recharge my batteries friends. Sometimes new comics day will do that. Or a nice meal. You never know!
I haven't mentioned this in the blogs before but the devestation in Japan is heartwrenching. I wish there was something I can do. I would simply say donate to the Red Cross by Texting REDCROSS to 90999 to Give $10 to Japan relief efforts. I hope it doesn't get any worse and everyone can slowly return to normal as best they can over there. I cannot imagine going through any of that. Send some positive thoughts their way. But better yet, donate to the cause.
I guess thats it for now. Have a week!
