DALLAS CON TRIP (So Far)

Hey all! Im live and reporting from my hotel in Irving, TX, about a mile down from the convention center where the best con ever will be held this weekend! The drive was long and full of perils, but we arrived safe and sound. We're all groggy, tired and the kid is out of his element and moody as hell. But we're here, we're surviving and trying to have fun and relax. Lets make with some pics! (these are all from my phone so excuse the crudeness. I got better photos with my good digital camera)




We were driving through Vinceness, Indiana and I saw this building and the business was called "The Gooch." The gooch??? The slang term for the taint? Wha??? (I also saw a trailer that was converted into a bank. Read that again. A TRAILER... converted into a BANK!!!!! I need to get a pic of that to share with ya'll.)



This is my parents' dog Cricket. She's nursing on one of her toys. Literally nursing. She sucks on it like a teet for a while and gneeds at it. Odd.




Was eating a bowl of Bugle chips for the first time. Yeah, never had any before. But I could help but think they looked like little Doomsday Machines from the TOS TREK episode. Anyone with me on that??

Lastly, here is the view out my window as I type this in my hotel room. The wife and kid are playing ANGRY BIRDS on my Ipad behind me.

I'll post more pics soon when I can. For now, I am gonna take the rest of this day to relax and chill. Hopefully the bots passes out early and I can get some decent sleep. I am TIRED!!!! Long drive. 11.5 hours. Yeah. And we're all moody cause of no sleep. Why we do this to ourselves, I'll never know. But I know this con will rock and it will be so worth it!
