Did the doctor regenerate yet again? Or is this the youngest time traveler ever?

DALLAS was a fun city, very humid. Hard to navigate though. Honestly, I'll never drive that far again. I kinda had to with the wife and kid and all that stuff I had to carry, plus I wanted to see the country a bit. It was nice to see. But NOT nice to drive! We were ready to kill each other with being in the car that long, thats for sure! Next time, I'm going solo and flying. Gotta get over that dislike of flying.
I sold a lot, met a lot of great people and saw some old friends. I had some wonderful dinners and drinks. It seems also that everywhere I went down there, Texans were happy, nice people. Great hospitality there. Maybe cause the weather is nice there as opposed to up in the motherland of Michigan.
I scored a couple good things. Some ATARI FORCE comics, a William Shatner autographed plaque for my wall, an EXCELSIOR Trek model kit. But the best thing I got was a gift from my buddy Mark Walters. Its a page of comic art from the STAR TREK: ASHES OF EDEN comic. Its one of my favorite pages too! Its got Kirk, Kirks' childhood home on it and a futuristic car on it. Very dope! I almost teared up when he gave it to me. Gave him a bear hug. Truly truly awesome! Thanks bro!
One cool thing I did toward the end I wish I had more time to have seen more of it was the ART OF AKIRA exhibit that Joe Peacock put on. He had tons of these hand painted animation cells and drawings from AKIRA. It was incredible to see! I wish I had more time to pour over them. I had to go in and out quickly but he showed me some of the good stuff that wasn't on display. Quite impressive! I hear he's got some old HE MAN cells as well! I'm gonna wheel and deal for some of those hopefully. I only got one cell and its from the REAL GHOSTBUSTERS cartoon. Very cool to have. And I need to get AKIRA on blu-ray. I haven't seen it since I'd say 1998 or something like that. I'm way overdue for it.
I want to thank Joe and Andy Chang for the beers. They got two huge cases of beer and I drank many of them. Also my Michigan brothers Brett Pinson and Kevin Leen who shared their drinks and went out shopping and scored some nice Texas steak with. Great company and we had some great times! Also finally met Steve Niles, Erik Reeves and a few folks from the podcasts I've never met face to face before. Best too was being next to Brian Denham. I got some great time to chat with him and see some cool shit he was doing. Great to see everyone!
All said, It was a great way to end off my 2011 Con appearances cause as it stands right now, yeah, I'm pretty much done for the year. I got too many pots cooking on my plate on projects to come so I will be completely too busy for shows. Next year, I'll hit some more. Maybe even DALLAS again. It was a great time. Great show. And WELL RUN! And I am not saying that just cause I know the guys involved. It really was handled extremely well and I know that attendance was way higher than they were expecting. Excellent news!!! Congrats to them and thanks to everyone who came out. We'll do it again, I promise.
But for now, Its on to big things for me. Lots of projects to complete. New developments have come to light and I am gonna be busy especially for the next month and a half! More on that later... I'll give a more detailed review and thoughts on the podcasts this week folks. Promise.
For now, you get another pic of the bots in the hotel. More pics to come when I unload them off my camera later tonight or tomorrow. Cheers!
