Been busy eh? I gotta go to some FedEx kinkos or something today to see if I can get a couple files printed off for DALLAS CON. And man is DALLAS CON shaping up! They're gonna have a replica TARDIS there!!! Talk about coolness! Anyway, I'm REALLY excited for the show. As I type this, its a week away. I'll be leaving earlier than that though for travel room and to visit my folks. Very excited for a vacation. I needs one desperately. Gonna take some time to myself to just relax and enjoy the quiet and atmosphere. Sooooo looking forward to the good time.
But I got a crapload to do before then. A few more commissions. Some more shopping for the trip and what not. Some things to print out and stuff to organize. But I am about 75% there. by Monday night, I gotta be 100%. I'll make it. I'll make it. Also, I got a shift at the porn shop Sunday night. Wish me luck!
Ever since buying the Snowspeeder yesterday, I feel like I've tapped into Star Wars toy fever. I always check them out when I go to the store anyway. Always have. Back in the 90's for the re-release, I scoured the shit out of toy sections and stores and bought one of every figure. I sold a good chunk of them to Intergalactic Trading Company in Florida back in 2000. But I still have a huge box full of the regular cast of figures. And now I am thinking I want some more. More vehicles and more figures. So that way when the bots grows up, he's got a crapload to play with! I still got alot of my old old old Star Wars figures as well. I never got rid of a few of them. Maybe 20 of them or so. I'll take a pic of them sometime if I ever get to round them up. Anyway, I'm kinda into building new toy collections for him. I guess I am just anxious for him to grow up a bit and start sharing my world with me. Will it disappoint me if he's not into it? I don't think so. but how could he not be??? I was certainly influenced by my mom and dad and like the things they liked. So I am sure it will be the same way with our kids. Plus, my older son Cody is still at the age to enjoy these things. Better tap into that now before its too late. Eh? I think so.
Anyway, if the wife lets me, I might take some of my Texas spending money out with me today and go toy hunting. I'd ultimately like to get the new AT AT and MILLIENIUM FALCON playsets. but first, some newer figures and a lightsaber I think... I'm glad I feel this way again. Star Wars fever has sorta retook me lately. Starting to emerge from the hate and bile of disliking the prequels and enjoying the childhood memories I once had. Regression baby!
