Tired but alive.

Hey everyone.

Feeling a bit rough around the edges since my long trek to Dallas. I swear I am never doing that again. A roadtrip for a whole week with a toddler, not a great idea. Perhaps when the bots is older and can enjoy such a trip, we will attempt it again. I intend fully that one day he will be my convention assistant and perhaps even be selling his own wares there! More on that in the coming years.

Anyway, I am coping. Getting back into the swing of things. Money is tight right now as a result of the trip so I am completing commission work so that I can keep us afloat. Luckily for me I landed a new paying gig that should make itself "official" early next week. Once the deal is signed I will talk. But till then you get this tease. Sorry about that. But its good news, trust me. Quite a cool little thing. I got a couple more commissions over the weekend but had no time the last couple days to get to them due to work at the dayjob porn store and the kid being a tad moody. I think the trip wore on him too. Even a week later! Anyway, I hope soon to get back into the swing of it after I finish all these damn shifts my dayjob decided to give me. So after this coming Thursday, I should be good. We'll see. Hopefully I can get some work done during the day as well. My TO DO list is growing!

On the plus side, I took some time out of my fatigue to enjoy a couple things. I watched TRON LEGACY finally and found it a fun distraction. The first hour or so was great and then sort of meandered a bit. But mostly, I found it okay and enjoyable. Some of the visuals in it were very cool. The story was... rough in some areas. But very watchable. Check it out. Also I read this:

Actually I read it all in one sitting today. Its only 210 pages or so. Its basically a companion piece to Neal Morse's TESTIMONY album. It fills in some gaps of his story here and there, but not to the extent to which I was hoping. It was a decent read though. I wanted to plow through it so I could finish it and not start yet ANOTHER book and never finish it. Like I stalled on THE HOBBIT recently. Anyway, fans of the prog Rock band SPOCKS BEARD or NEAL MORSE in general will perhaps enjoy this. For me, I wish it was a bit more in depth and told some backstage hijinks and humor that make these sorts of books fun. It really fleshed out a story I already knew with maybe a bit more clarity and detail but not much else. But still, if you are a hardcore fan, get it.

Well, I got four more shifts to work through this week and a bots to take care of in the meantime. Hopefully when the smoke clears I can catch back up on work. Bare with me folks.

Cheers, T
