FILMING LOCATIONS.

One thing people don't know alot about me is that I LOVE museums and famous locations. In fact, I have a bucket list of filming locations I'd love to visit one day. In 2006, the wife and I visited one of my main targets, the CLERKS, CHASING AMY and JAY & SILENT BOB filming locations. Photos of which you can see Here. I also visited the DAWN OF THE DEAD (1978) Mall Location several times. But here's a list of others that I hope to one day go see.

VASQUEZ ROCKS -- Um.... DUH!!!!!!!!!! Anyone know me here? This rock formation outside of Los Angeles has been host to many film and Tv shoots. But one in particular that interests me. That being STAR TREK! Its been in the films, practically all the series, especially the original series. Its one of the only locations from the original series that you can actually go visit. Yes. One day....

ROCKY LOCATIONS - Philadelphia, PA. I am a HUGE Rocky film fan and luckily, there's tons of locations you can still visit. From his house, the pet shop, Micks Gym, various places he ran by but the main one is this: The ROCKY STEPS! I hope to run up these one day.

PSYCHO HOUSE/BATES MOTEL - Universal Studios. At Universal Studios you can tour many old sets (Including Back to the Future... whats left of it after a lot fire) and props. But you can see the actual old Psycho House and the Bates Motel. Very cool! I doubt you can walk around in it though. Its sorta on this bus tour ride where you cannot get out and look around. But still, would be very cool to see.

TEXAS CHAINSAW MASSACRE locations. Kingsland/Austin, TX Many of the locations from TCM are in Texas and recently I very much considered going to them, but missed the opportunity. You can visit the old gas station, the graveyard and the old location where the house once stood. The house has since been bought, moved 40 miles away and made into a restaurant. However the look and feel of the house is still intact and the owners embrace the fact of its history. I'd love to go have some Texas barbque in the Chainsaw house!

MANOS THE HANDS OF FATE! - EL PASO, TX. I know.. "WHAT?!?!!?" Its a cult favorite of mine and believe it or not, some of the locations still exist. The alter and pillars where the master and his wives hung out are all there as well as what remains of Torgo and the Master's house. Of course it is a shell of a house now and in a great state of disrepair. But it can be identified and visited.

Hon. Mentions: Nakatomi Building from Die Hard. Evans Cemetary from Night of the Living Dead. Any studio lot tour (especially Paramount lot studio 9. Take a guess...). Too many others to list here. (sigh) one day I hope to get an TV and just drive to all the coolest places in the USA, including these places. I'd love that.
