Speaking of original art....

As much as I am selling art and books and things I own, I am getting new things. I've become sorta intrested in STAR WARS toys for the kid. But for me, the big kid, I am looking at original art. Art that means something to me. After I got the Star Trek page from Mark Walters in Dallas, I was reminded that I always wanted a page from DC's TREK Comic run. Thats the run of comics that was the first comics I ever read. So I did a search today for that and Tom Sutton/Richardo Villagren art and found this gem:

A page from STAR TREK #52, the first comic I ever read. And its one of my favorites from that book as well. The crew are forced to walk through an hallutination of hell as told by Dante's Inferno. (read it, it makes sense) And there's a part where they walk through the cold frozen dead and Kirk loses his shit for a bit. Its a pretty cool scene and I always remember the last bit where it says "Oh don't ask me dear reader... I dare not write it." Love that page. I always stopped and re-read that page when I read it as a kid. But today, I found it for CHEAP and I bought it immediately. Its now mine! Well, once it ships here it will be mine. I'm excited for it to hang next to my favorite page from ASHES OF EDEN. YAY!

I also bought this piece recently:

Its a pinup of ANNA POCALYPSE by Tim Fischer. I am interested in getting some of my favorite artists to do pinups of my characters. Not only to print them in my books but to have the art as well. So I got this one. And its quite nice don't you think? Thanks dude!

Also today, I went on amazon and bought a couple books that have been in my wishlist for a while. The Making of STAR WARS and the Adam Richman MAN V FOOD book. Love em both. Should arrive sometime late next week maybe. YAY!

Yeah. I'm a buying fool. So you should be too! Pick up some of the original art from the post below. and if none of that is to your liking, there's more to come. Stay tuned!!

Okay, back to work with me. I've cooked roast for the family and now I gotta clean house, put the kid to bed and get rocking on more sketch cards. Word!

Cheers, T
