Well the deadline came and went yesterday and unfortunately, we did not make it. So I would like to toss out a huge thanks to those who pledged to help make it happen. Even though we fell short, I am proud of what we did. It was indeed a great experiment. I would personally like to thank those who did offer their pledges and thank them for their dedication. I also want to thank Rich Johnston at BLEEDING COOL for picking up the story of me and my fundraising. I emailed several comics news sites and he was the only one who bothered to post anything about it. Odd considering the Womanthology got so much attention. I was hoping I could strike the iron whilst hot and keep the indie love rolling. I just missed out on it.
I think many factors fell into play with it. Economy, kickstarter fatigue (seems ALOT of people have Kickstarters going now) and other such things. I got several emails from people who wanted to contribute but were unable to because they preferred the method of PAYPAL, which wasn't Kickstarter supported. Quite understandable. I am not bummed at all. It was intended as an experiment and not the ultimate be all plan. In fact, it was a back up to what I really wanted to do. Hey, you throw enough crap at the wall and see what sticks, am I right? :)
So I hereby announce that my ARTBOOK absolutely will still come out. I am projecting having a pre-sale around late September, early October and the price will be around $20-30 plus a wee bit of shipping maybe. I haven't figured it out yet. We're looking at a 200 page FULL COLOR book. Not cheap on me! And now I have to rely on the presales to get things rolling. But that always works for me and I got no worries. So consider this your heads up to save yer pennies as this book will go up for grabs early Oct at the latest and ship by mid-late November. Just in time for XMAS!!! And no doubt I will be doing some sort of cool deal to go along with it.
I am also revamping the online store a bit and offering package deals soon. Let me get a few other things off my plate first and then we shall see where that all leads. Got many pots cooking. Rolling boils. Adding garlic and some seasoning. It smells deeeeeeliiiisssssshhhhh!!!

The thing about Womanthology was that it was done by women, pledge prizes were are awesome and it was backed up by the whole community and it was promoted constantly - everywhere.
Not putting your project down but that's my 2 cents... anyways - I'm sure to buy your artbook, man.
