BUSY WEEK and Special Happenings

Holy cow, what a week! Let's see if I can make it go in order here:

First off, worked tons of hours at the day job and in between I worked extra hard to get STARSLAM 2 colors done. I am proud to say that I only have less than 20 pages left to color!!! So we're in the home stretch. After that, word balloons... which tend to go quite quick. Then editing, then final check, then post-production PDFing/Digital stuff, cover building, etc. Its finally happening, man! And guess what? The art on the book...

That's right. Today, I penciled and inked the final 3 pages left to do on the book. It was filler pages needed in-between some key scenes, but not the last pages of the book itself. Those are already done. And a cover is being inked this week!

I know Dr. Jeff is happy about that! and other things... (spoilers)
Words cannot express the happiness I am feeling as this is going on. I latched onto this book big time while my life was being restructured. I worked on it endless nights at the gas station job, and every spare second I could around that. I had periods where I took breaks, self doubt and self loathing came in, as it often does. But I weathered the storm and continued onward. And now, I am nearing the top of the mountain. My TENTH GRAPHIC NOVEL!

Tenth.

Its weird to say it aloud. But its true. Very soon, it will be done and the Kickstarter will launch. I've already contracted my printer to get ready for the physical copies I have to print. Its like I am nesting, getting ready for a new birth. A nice new book of smut! Smut I'm fucking proud of, man. Just you wait and see how much I've grown.

This week I got my kids Saturday-Sunday. Unfortunately, they were quite sick and the visit was me mostly lysoling and santizing my hands and surfaces with wipes and gel. I CANNOT get sick again like I was a couple weeks ago! But in the times when the kids were up to it, little James T helped daddy do a great re-arranging of the living room...

James LOVES to help clean. Even if its some of daddy's 9,000 books.

More books and yes, CDs. Physical media, baby!

One thing I got myself this week is a new art desk! James helped me put it together. Now I can draw upright and avoid certain pitfalls my art suffers from.

This is the first page I drew on my new art table. One of the final three pages I needed for STARSLAM 2.

After cleaning and re-arranging I went into concerned daddy mode to take care of a sick James T. But his fever went down after a while. Poor little dude.
After dropping the kids off tonight, I went and saw DEADPOOL with my pal Dean. It was a fun flick. I'd recommend it. Also this week, I started my STAR TREK TOS marathon as I stated I would do on the newest episode of my MORNING SHOW PODCAST - I might even do a commentary on one or two later on. We'll see.

This coming weekend is the MSU COMICS FORUM which is on the Michigan State University campus on Saturday. I will be set up there, books and all. Anyone wanting a sketch to pre-order and pick up at the show can simply email me right HERE

After that, next weekend is FANTASTICON LANSING which is on Cedar Rd in south Lansing. Make plans to come out and see me! Again you can pre-order a commission to pick up at the show by emailing me. Hurry cause time is ticking!

I suppose that is it. Thanks for reading my friends. Have a great week!
