Hey folks. Stayin' busy. SUPER busy! And my time is running out. Currently I got two mini comic projects I gotta finish by mid-September. One is a horror comic and the other is an erotica comic I am doing for an anthology for some nice folks. Should be great fun. I'm halfway done with the art on the horror comic, so all I gotta do is finish some tight pencils, ink and color it and hit up the word balloons. I want the book done by Halloween time, so that should work out nice. I also have a few commissions to finish and I gotta pump them out very soon. On the sketch card front, I got one set waiting for me to start on it. But it ain't due til October, so we're good for a bit. Additionally, I am meeting today with a cat who wants some sort of mini comic thing done for something or other. We're gonna sit and discuss what the project is and what needs to be done. And finally, I am still doing drawings for the online video game: Mortifera Incident . Some great stuff going on there. If you like online gaming, hit up the site and donate to the Kickstarter there to help fund them (and me!). Appreciated.
On my comics beyond that: I did a few new Anna 2 pages a week or so ago. Its getting down to the tense and crazy parts which set up the huge fight in the end. So we're getting into the exciting stuff to draw! But I got other things that need to be done first before Anna, so the book likely won't come out till early 2013. I want to have it ready for con season. Also I gotta squeeze that Expendables #4 in there somewhere too. All before con season. Man am I gonna have a lot of new stuff to show and sell!
The wife is VERY pregnant and we're about 37 weeks along. Ready for the baby to come already honestly. The wife wants her body back. Its been a difficult ride sometimes. Lots of hospital visits and trips. Thats why I really appreciate the added income for all the freelance stuff I've been getting lately. And by all means I am accepting more. So if you got a project or a commission you want, EMAIL ME and we can discuss. But anyway we are mostly ready. Got tons of clothes and the crib is set up. We just need a high chair and bassonette, and stock up on Enfamil. We're ready to have our lives back, and we can't wait to meet the new little guy.
Some payments finally came in and thank the Lords of Khobol for that. I was able to catch up on some hospital bills and the phone calls have stopped. I even had some left over to renew the site here and do some shopping. I got a few used CDs including Brian Wilson's SMiLE... one of the greatest albums I have ever heard in the last few years. I cannot stop spinning that disc, its amazing! Also some Miles Davis and John Coletrane and a couple new Ani Difrancos. Then a 2002 Rush album. Also got a Rush live DVD from their 30th anniversary and a few used Godzilla flicks. Finally, I scored the STAR WARS 9 disc bluray box set used for $50, in EXCELLENT condition! I watched some of the extras last night and they are cool. But what is really impressive is the transfer. The wife and I skimmed episode 4 and my god, does it look PHENOMINAL! I saw pores and details I have never seen before. I Cannot wait to sit and watch all of them proper. It will be great. And I also got the JAWS Bluray, which I know will be equally great. I'll watch that with the wife this week sometime hopefully.
Also yesterday I got a few packs of football cards. Topps mostly (my boys!!!). I used to collect basketball and football cards back in the day, so I thought I'd toss in the concept of doing so again for Football cards this season. There's a lot to catch up on as the card collecting world has vastly changed since the days when I collected back in 1991-1994. But I'm getting some cool looking cards and nice stats on the rookies. I look forward to indulging more. And I cannot wait for the season to start!! September 9th baby! Lions vs. Rams.
I'm in discussions with several people about ways to improve and change my table set up for conventions next year. I'm excited to see where that will go. I've had pretty much the same set up for the last five years. This next year I want to improve and clarify its approach and more various offerings. We'll see.
Breaking Bad is wonderful as always. And I am all caught up on Hollywood Treasure. Those are pretty much the only TV shows I am watching.
The bots has been getting really good at his talking. He's repeating and trying to sing a lot. He can count to 20 and this last week I was teaching him his colors. I'm really proud of him and the progress he's making. He starts pre-school again in a couple weeks.
Anyway, thats whats going on. Hope all is well everyone! Cheers -- T
