I read in today's PREVIEWS mag that Dark Horse is putting out a "Star Wars Ongoing series" With events taking place right after episode 4. I looooooove it when I get to read ongoing series with these properties I love. I missed out on the old Marvel Star Wars years and I heard they are not that great from then anyway. (Han hung out with a giant chicken!) But now this new series I am excited about. I've seen some of the preview art and I am excited! Its gonna be great! Launches in January. Pre-order now!
Another ongoing of licensed stories is the new STAR TREK IDW series taking place in this new alternate universe. Mostly what it has been are stories from the original TOS series, but redone with the modern flair and a bit of change thanks to this new alternate reality. Its been quite entertaining. I've got all the issues, but I am a bit behind. And soon the series will do a lead into the new flick. And from what I've always been told is that there are "hints about the new flick in the series." So we'll see, eh? Either way, I am excited about it. Its also done with the writers of the movie versions overseeing it and their blessing on what to and not to touch. So you can get a glimpse of perhaps what is to come with the new movie in this series.
Another ongoing is the Ghostbusters series from IDW. The style is very cartoony, but I like it alot. Admittedly, I am a few issues behind right now. I only got the first five, so I need to catch up.
RACHEL RISING: The new Terry Moore series. I skipped his "ECHO" series cause I was on fatigue from SIP and all the stuff that was left hanging from that series. So I will go back and check that out. But so far I am going trade only on RR, and its interesting. I'll give it a couple more trades to see where he goes with it. Terry always does interesting shit.
THE BOYS: Wrapping up soon. One issue to go. Its been a crazy ride. I'm interested to see where its gonna end up.
THE ROCKETEER ADVENTURES: Again, through the great IDW. Some wonderful stories done with love in the Rocketeer universe from a lot of great artists and writers.
FRANKENSTEIN ALIVE ALIVE: One name: Bernie Wrightson. Thats all ya need to know. Get it. Drool over the pages. Get two copies in case though!
BATMAN: I am catching up with this Scott Snyder/Greg Capullo DC book. I like where its going. Although we're already into crossover territory with this huge Joker storyline going on. I guess we'll see.
INVINCIBLE: I just got the newest one and am finally all caught up. I'll never drop reading this. The best superhero comic book out there right now.
THE WALKING DEAD: My favorite title I read currently. I buy it and have to read it in the car as soon as I get it. Some interesting new things going on now as a result of the events of issue #100. We'll see what happens. I am endlessly entertained by this book. I love it.
CREATOR OWNED HEROES: I always pick up this book. Some good stories, interviews with indie folks and more. Worth checking out if you've been missing them.

The star wars series sounds interesting. I am also behind on Invincible and Walking Dead. Slowly but surely catching up though. They are both great.
