Facebook Debacle conclusion and new work.

Some of you who keep up with me might have noticed my ranting last week on Facebook, where I deemed the site just too much of an angry filled, waste of my time and I said I would take a week off. I even made a Morning Show podcast about my thoughts regarding Facebook. (Download right HERE ON ITUNES)
Well, outside of going on there a few times to check for emails and wishing happy bdays to friends, I stayed away, and it felt great! I didn't keep up with the feed, nor did I contribute to the bile and lava that spews forth constantly. Instead, I got productive. I thumbnailed out 19 pages, penciled 8, inked 4, did 5 morning shows, blogged, wrote, played with the kids, did projects around the house, cleaned, spent time reading comics and just enjoying the outside life. I gotta say, it was quite refreshing, and I plan to continue it.
So: I am not leaving Facebook. I still use it for certain things and keeping in contact with certain groups or people. But  I am not going to be as active on it nearly as much as I was. If I do post, most likely it will be for something inspirational, or something related to the business of my work. I am not going to go on there and give personal feelings, political thoughts or anything else no more. That is for my podcast, blog and twitter feed. BTW, if you don't follow me on Twitter, you can by going right HERE and adding me. All the news and fun stuff I used to post on FB will now go there. I feel I can control the bile and lava better there.
Honestly, no one event caused this. I'm going with the "its not you, facebook, its me!" statement. Cause it is me. I have found I waste too much time there. And with a few podcasts, youtube channel, a website, twitter and ANOTHER website in the works, its too much to keep up with. Not to mention deviantart, comic art commissions, and all the other little things I do. I remain VERY active on social media, so I am not hard to track down. Not at all. I'm the kind of guy that if you tweet or email me, I will respond quite quickly. Because I hate people that don't respond. I don't want to be that guy. I give so much of myself that sometimes, I spread the one thing I need most of all too thin. That being "time." I am slowly learning to manage my time better. And I have found that when I am ignorant of the day to day bitchings we all have and I stay focused on the tasks I have on my own back porch, I am quite happier. So its for my mental health as well as physical, and occupational.

So Facebook, still going, but at about 1/4th of what it was. It just serves as a place to announce stuff. I will keep photos there. I will contact certain folks there. I remain part of groups there. But if you want the personal interaction with me, Go to my Twitter, Email or right here. Or better yet, the MORNING SHOW PODCAST... available through Itunes to download. M'kay?

Okay, also done this week was this commission for someone's Christmas. He wanted his kids done as Marvel characters. So here ya go.

Beyond that, I am busy working on a couple different card sets for Cult-Stuff and then pencilling/inking EXPENDABLES 4 pages. I'm actually getting ahead and thats great! Once Expendables 4 is out the door, my focus is on ANNA 2 and the adult webcomic site. I'm eyeing a January launch. We'll see.

Thanks for coming back and caring folks. I love ya!
