Hey all! Its friday and its time to party! (well, after work anyway!) My friend Shane is coming up this weekend for my Birthday and we are gonna have a blast! Its a whole weekend full of demoing new songs, video games, eating, skitry, getting drunk and other such activities that I shouldn't mention here. But reguardless, its gonna be a real fun time. No other way I'd rather spend my birthday weekend.
So, I'll be 28 on tuesday. Thats nuts. I'll be officially older than Kurt Cobain, Janis Joplin, Jim Morrison and Jimi Hendrix ever were. Look at them, they're legends! I've got a while to go for that... but I draw a mean comic book page! Raise a glass high on tuesday for me! I'm not much of a drinker, but do it anyway. Or read a comic for me... whatever. It all works out in the end (subtitle for college students: "Its All Good.")
On the comic book front, there will be a MAJOR ANNOUNCEMENT next week probebly around wednesday at the latest. Its big time, and I cannot wait to tell you, but wait I must. Its been brewing for a while. Its something that will give my work national attention. I'll let you all know as soon as it happens. But its a sure thing. BIG BIG BIG news. Its for you, who've stuck it out in the trenches with me the past five years. All for you.
I've gotten a few more offers for comic con appearances and I am considering them heaviliy. One is for Grand Rapids, MI and its a one day. It seems very likely that I will be attending that. For updates on where, when and how, check out my APPEARANCES section on the HEAD site. Should make a decision soon.
I got the next 4 days off of work, which makes me all sorts of happy. Gonna spend my birthday with my wife, which she probebly will have a special "present" for me, if you catch my meaning... But thats too much for you to get into. The last picture you need is of my belly flab bounding around a bed making grunting noises... OOPS! Sorry bout that visual. But there it is. You gotta live with it the whole weekend!
