Monday---
I get up and do alot more laying around. Its been a very lazy weekend for me. Broke, and blah. I did wait at Lil Chef Restaurant for a friend of mine, who didn't show cause of his own type of crisis. While there, I pencilled 3 new pages of PLEASANT LIFE. Good times.
Tuesday---
I've decided to start staying as LATE as possible to get as much OVERTIME at my job as I can. If they are unwilling to hire new people, I'll suck thier money dry. While I'm at it, fund my comics all that much the better. when they complain about my outragous amount of overtime, I will say "HIRE SOMEONE!" Very frustrated.
Good news is that my wife might have scored a new job. Makes me all sorts of happy. Me? I got comics, and thats all I'll ever need.
Wednesday---
Wizard World FINALLY updated thier site and listed me as a featured artist in the ARTIST ALLEY for Chicago. Funny thing is that they also listed my wife, and Shane and his wife as artists! They were on my "guest list" so now apparently, they are guest artists! Totally funny.
For the first time in forever, one of my supervisors comes and chats with me about my job frustrations. I voice most everything that is bothering me and offer to help find solutions to help EVERYONE enjoy thier job more. I think if everyone around here were happier and enjoyed the job, then we'd catch mistakes and it would be a much better work environment. I'm willing to try and help find solutions. But if something comes along that offers the right amount of cash and I am into it, I will go. But for now, I am staying put. I enjoy everyone's company and I get alot of advantages working here. I am just hoping for a decent raise, since I am due.
Something cool that happened, I ran into an old co-worker from my days as a CLERK at Beal City Village Store. She asked if I am on MYSPACE, so I checked and added her, and a bunch of my old CLERK buddies. We're all chatting now and hopefully gonna get together this weekend to drink and have a merry old time. I am looking forward to getting DRUNK, for like, the first time in ever. The wife is looking forward to it too.
So, I work my shift, head home a tad early and watch AMERICAN DAD. I pass out on the floor by my heavily sleeping wife on the couch.
Thursday---
I wake up with a stiff back from sleeping on the floor. Check email. FINALLY, Comixpress has sent me an Invoice for TALES OF SEQUENTIAL MAYEHM. I pay online for the proof and expect it in a couple days. Monday at the latest, I hope.
We go to COMICS CENTRAL on Broomfield to ge the new PREVIEWS and the WOLVERINE ORIGINS #1 (Steve Dillon art!!!!) and I break down and buy the new WIZARD. I regret it now. Sorry folks. I am a tool.
I head to work and sit through 12 hours of evil. Head home and pass out. In between there, I update everyone and update some websites.
Loving it.
