Love me like you love the sun......

Friday--

I wake up and its pretty uneventful. We go to Jon's country burger and discuss our finances. We are pretty much screwed cause some checks have been bouncing (luckilly, we just ran out of checks and NEVER will write one again!) and burned about $300 of our incoming money. As a result, I am unable to go to see ROGER WATERS. I am royally pissed but I mean, I saw him in 1999. So, I can deal with it. Point is, I learned a hard lesson. I'm bad with money. So I decided to definatly score a second job, monday trhough friday open to 5pm to help with finances and get us on track. We are also looking into getting a newer car soon, so we want to pursue that. With the wife leaving her cushy job soon, we've gotta bring some extra funds in, or else my comics won't get printed either! small price to pay for comic greatness. No big deal. At least I will get exercise on my feet at a job!

I head to work and its uneventful. For once, I don't have a commercial job to do and there were no errors like last week. Maybe my "bitch" note did some good! In my downtime, I scanned more EARTHGIRL pages into the computer and added grey tones.

I've decided that with PLEASANT TIMES, I am not going to rely on GREYS at all! Except for coloring in shades of grey for my african american characters, there will be an absense of greytones. Its nice, but I'd rather rely on the art page itself. If its overdone, then it can become saturated. Dig?

Anwyay, I head home around 3am, watch some AMERICAN DAD and then fall asleep.

Saturday--

I get up at 9:15am, on 3 hours sleep to get ready to go to see my wife's concert on campus. She played an hour and a half concerto on clarinet, and I must say it was her best performance yet. I throughly enjoyed listening to it. She's gotten much better from when I first met her. Of course, her style of music is one that I cannot follow well, but it is good none the less.

A good thing is that Shane and his wife Sara came up to see the show. I was very glad to see them both. We joked and jived and had some fun before and after the show. After that, they went back to his parents to visit, and I went back home to pass out. The wife went tanning.

Around 7pm, I got up and woke up the wife. We went and got some Jons Country Burger and we discussed our diets again. After that, we went home, got dressed and went out to THE BIRD for a night of drunken debauchery.

Some co-workers showed up, and I ran into all sorts of folk from my past. Cinema people, church people and old friends that I indeed missed. They greeted me with a nice big "where you been?" It felt great. Good to know I can still go out and still know people there... that I am not too old yet!

On the downside, I drank 2 pitchers of beer, 4 shots on an empty stomach. I was througholy fucked. TED drove me and the wife home where I was tossing and turning praying that I wouldn't throw up. Today, I regret drinking AS MUCH as I did. I must have acted and looked like a complete moron. and I feel like total shit today. So, NO MORE drinking like that! I'll drink A BEER, and stop. Enough to loosen up, or to get goofy, then I will sober up and come home in one piece. Nuff said.

All in all, it wasa great night. But I am best to stick to my drawing table and watching pornos on a saturday night. But maybe soon, I will go out to drink again. As long as the welcome arms of my friends at THE BIRD are there again to greet me.
