Hey Now, Hey Now, Don't Dream its Over....

Wednesday---

Its a lazy day, as I get up around 10am and draw till around 4pm. Then take a nap till 9pm, and then get back up and draw till 4am. I watch alot of MST3k and DAWN OF THE DEAD with the wife. Its a good productive day and I almost have completed Pleasant Life #1.

Thursday---

I wake up around 11am and go to the CMU Libarary to check my email. We've recently disconnected our home phone at home to save cash. Its $70 a month for the phone and only $25 for a cable modem. MUCH faster internet! I go home and get some more drawing done. One page to go on Pleasant Life #1. My dad calls and says that they will be up this saturday and will be staying for five days! So, I'll actually get to see them a lot, which is great.

I take a break and head into town to pick up my pics from Jersey, and I couldn't be more happy with how they turned out. I'll upload them to the site this weekend. Seeing the images again help me reminise in the fact that this was the best vacation I've ever taken. The best, and I have to do it again soon. Call me a fanboy, and thats fine. Thats what I am... a Kevin Smith fanboy. So, fuck you. and seeing these images only fuels my fire to see Clerks 2. Very much so. July 21st. Go see this film!!!

I take the pics to my work to show my friends there and to turn in a time slip for my vacation hours. I also stop by the wife's work to pick up her check. Then, I take the wife over to her friends so she can party and I go home to draw some more. I touch up some panels and pencil and ink my final page. Pleasant Life #1, the new chapter in the saga that is Pleasant Hymns, is over. Complete. Finished. Aw Done! Looking through the pages I am extremely proud with how it turned out. The story is great, funny and full of emotion. Its great to see these characters again, in a new way, continuing the story and setting them off on the road to the end of the book. But that won't come for a while yet. There is so much more to tell.

I break out the pen and start writing the full script of Pleasant Life #2. I get one word down when the wife calls me to come and pick her up. I pick her up, run her through Taco Bell and take her home. We spend some time together and pass out around 1am.

Man, vacations are cool!
