Well, interesting weekend. First of all,
I GOT THE JOB!!!!!
The job I wanted so bad, I nailed it! I called my boss to check up and he invited me down for a meeting and a bit o' work. I made the drive out of excitement through the snow to crash at Shanes. Then the next morning made the 8am meeting. I met my co-workers, who are a great group of people. I fit right in and worked hard on my "first day." I felt right at home right away. After leaving, I got a thanks from my new boss... something I don't get AT ALL at my soon to be old job. I drove away with a big smile on my face. I felt like for the first time in a long time, that I effected change in my job and workplace. and with everyone as cool as they are at this new place, I feel "at home." It only further solidifies the fact that I made the right decision to move. I cannot explain my happiness right now. I feel on top of the world. Anxious for this next week to end so that I can move down and get on the road to my new life!
This is Happy Adam!
Also, I got another job offer for a second job. It would be much appreciated but I am not too sure about it. Right now, the shift time I could work is in conflict with my main job. So, we'll see if I can take it or not. Bascially its scanning documents for the county. More computer work. We'll see how that develops.
In other news, this is my birthday week! On wednesday, I turn 29. Somewhere this week, my co-workers at the paper are throwing me a going away party. And this saturday is my LEAVING MT. PLEASANT GOING AWAY PARTY. You all are invited to come out. Saturday, Jan 27th. The Bird Bar & Grill sometime after 8-9pm. Come on out and say goodbye!
I gotta finish commissions and a new Earthgirl cover this week. Hopefully get all the word balloons on all those comics DONE! Wish me luck!
On another note: the COLTS are in the Super Bowl finally and I am very happy. It was a great game and I am excited to see them beat the shit out of the Bears on the 4th! (sorry to you chicago fans!) Truthfully, both teams have worked and played very hard and very well the past few years. Both deserve it. Best of luck to both.
...... go Colts!
much luv, T
