So, I had two and a half days off in a row. Rather than sit alone in my apartment, I decided to trek back up to Mt. Pleasant and surprise my wife with a visit. She was extatic to see me and the cats seemed happy to see me too. As I type this blog entry, they are all lined up, laying together near me on my art desk. Man, I wish I could take this art desk with me. Right now, I am drawing on a spare table that Shane Logan so nicely let me borrow to eat/write on. But it ain't my hometurf when it comes to drawing. Know what I mean?
I 've been busy watching BATTLESTAR GALACTICA. and if you have read any of my posts in the forum about it, I am highly addicted to the show. I bought season 2.5 and watched it in a day! Now, I am stuck waiting for the current season to come out on DVD so I can watch it and be completely caught up! I highly recommend this show. If you are on the fence about it, just go rent the first disc of the season one box set (or the mini series disc... same thing) and give it a watch. I guarantee you'll see why its really called "the best show on television!" I cannot recommend it higher. Its the best. I am so late to the table on this one, its embarrassing.
Good news on comics front:
--I paid my priting bill and Pleasant Life #1 will officially be for sale on March 25th. I am currently setting up some in store signings around Michigan to co-incide with the release. One mainly in Kalamazoo at a huge store. More details as I can release them but stay tuned folks. Its gonna be a fun year.
--I reserved my hotel for Pittsburgh Comic Con. Staying at the Radisson, the ritsy hotel attached to the con center and a stone throw away from the Monroeville Mall (where 1978's DAWN OF THE DEAD... one of my favorite movies, was shot). Tons of guests and friends will be out there. I am anxous to finally meet Terry Moore (SIP) face to face at the show. It will be a great time. Also, the band CKY will be there, as well as some Dawn of the Dead actors. Good time will be had by all!
--Other than Pittsburgh, I am looking to see what shows I can do in the fall. Right now, its only looking that the likely subject will be the fall Motor City show. Since I'm missing the may one, I want to make it up to the "hometown crowd." I'm sitting out Chicago Wizard World this year, and San Diego aint happening either. It bumms me out, but the move to St. Joe killed all my funds. But thats okay. Next year will be all about travel. I got projects coming that will finally get me out there and put me ON THE ROAD. More than just Pleasant Life. Like finally, THE OUTCAST will come out. and another thing that is brewing. Plus Earthgirl #3 might still happen. We'll just have to see!
So, exciting times. The downtime I've been in for the past month or so is finally dissapating. YAY! Stay tuned.
I am loving my job down in St. Joe. I just learned some news that definatly gives me focus and made me instantly happy. I cannot say what it is now, but its a great opportunity.
Well, thats it for this entry. Please, check out my forum and read the news. Post your thoughts. PRE-ORDER PLEASANT LIFE #1!!!!!

You always say "I have great news but can't tell you about it." Just say it, for fuck's sake! The only time I withheld promised info was when I was legally bound to do so! So give with the news.
