Tuesday is coming, did you bring your coat???

Hello me little droogies! Time for a regular post.

Well, tons of stuff is going on. I’ve been getting new art ready for my in store appearance in MASON, MICHIGAN this Saturday at BESTSELLERS COFFEE and BOOKS store. My pal Dean and I will be there from 2-5pm, also will be two fantasy writers premiering their work. Come on out if you get the chance to this Saturday. My wife is 12 weeks along. We went to the doctors today and heard the heartbeat, which was deeply cool. It was going so fast, it sounded like a Mike Portnoy drum solo. My wife is pretty damn excited in that she spent some money we don’t have on some baby jumpers. She’s so cute when she’s excited like that. Either way, we are both very happy things are moving along at a normal pace. It would be nice to have something in my life NOT be complicated.

So, Pittsburgh Con is almost a month away and I cannot stop thinking about it. There’s tons of news going on about the show, especially now.. with some unpleasantness. But rest assured that despite this unpleasantness (that you can read about at just about any comic news website), I will still be there. As will many other creators. To my knowledge, no one has pulled out and the general consensus is that we all want to show support for the show and those who run it. So, all of this changes nothing. Nuff said.

What bums me out is that I’ll only have one new book to premiere at the show: THE EXPENDABLES. But I am going to be pushing for more original art sales anyway. I’ve been pre-making some 11x17 pieces and picking out my best original art pages to sell at the show. Also, I will be taking commissions by sign up basis at the show and all shows in 2008. So if you want some kick ass art and made especially for you, plan ahead! First come, first serve.

As for IDIOTHEAD, well, we haven’t recorded a single note. It’s sorta both our faults. One minute, I’m ready to go and he’s got things to do. And visa versa. I feel like my head just isn’t in the music right now. I come and go a bit. I gotta be in the right headspace to do it. We got songs and ideas, but I just got so much other things on my mind that are taking precedence. I am sure once the summer progresses we will get on with it. You can’t stop the `head. So, please be patient. I know the world ain’t beating our door down for the next CD, but I know some of you out there do care to hear it. I know I do. It will happen, but just let us get done what we need to get done. Its not like we’re sitting around doing NOTHING on either side.

Anyway, I think that’s all I got to say. Keep your head up my lil’ droogies.
