April showers bring May's merry bloody mayhem.

Been a bit. Been busy, my droogies.

Well, its less than 18 days till Pittsburgh Comic Con and man am I excited! I am going to do some spring cleaning this week and clean up my office again. In the process, I will re-pack all my things I need for the show. I’m defiantly pumped to hit my first con in over a year!

Motor City Comic Con took my money, but hasn’t listed me on the website updates yet. So please bare with them as they keep adding people. Rest assured I WILL BE THERE EXHIBITING so come and bring your dollars as I will have new things to showcase! Plus this year I am pimping my art pieces more to jump sales in that area. Great commission deals will go on at the show!

The wife has been on overnights so I haven’t seen much of her. Luckily, she was just transferred to a different Walgreens, one that isn’t open 24 hours! So she won’t have to work so hard. That’s tough being pregnant and all. Plus, her sleep will be more consistant and we can see each other more!

I thumbnailed out the final pages of PLEASANT LIFE. I am on page 17 right now. I originally thought that the final story would be 20-24 pages. But it will actually be 40 PAGES! A HUGE ending!!! I decided to expand some drawings here and there and do a couple splash pages. I’m making this ending a huge, big, who-ha that will be quite explosive, funny and memorable all at once. I do believe it ties everything up and gives these guys the proper send off, in the feel and tradition of the book. I’ll post some more teaser pics as I go. I’m planning to have the art in the can by early May at the latest. Maybe I’ll bring some pages of it to Motor City Con so you all can see them!

This week in addition to doing those, I did a couple new THE OUTCAST pages. I’m really taking my time with the pencils and making things really different and inking slowly and more detailed/sketchy. It will have a different feel than PLEASANT LIFE does. I’ll put up comparison pics someday soon.

I bought a Frank Zappa and Human League CD out of boredom. Been listening to my usual round of podcasts and now I am joining a new one on Tuesdays. Seems all I do is listen to podcasts, draw, sleep and work. Not much time for anything else… not like anything else is going on.

I secretly hope that my wife gets transferred to Kalamazoo so we can move to a town where there are cool shopping places. Comic shops, CD/Record stores, etc. Also, it seems like the restaurant clerks around here are VERY rude. It’s a huge turn off. Plus, we don’t have many friends here in town. We’d like to make new ones. Plug into some sort of social pipeline other than co-workers. It’s kind of depressing. But in time, a solution will present itself. I think as I hit more cons, I’ll be making more artist/writer pals anyway and spend most of my time on the phone chatting rather than in person. But that doesn’t help those days when you want to just take off and go buy a CD or DVD at a neighboring town or do a comic run. I have no one for that. It gets lonely. I talk to myself and that’s just damn odd.

I work all week this next week and then two days off, then work the weekend. Then next Sunday/Monday/Tuesday, I get the Codester for a few days. It sucks living the whole state away from him. But we’ll have fun I am sure. I got a lot of new stuff and games to show him.

Well, that’s all that has been happening. Cheers me droogies!
