Well we got our state tax refund yesterday. Paid some bills and then opted to go to South Bend for a spending trip. We got Chillis and went to Michiana Music/DVDs. I scored used copies of Glengarry Glen Ross and Cheerleader Camp! Then to Barnes and Noble where I talked myself out of spending $100 on one season of Doctor Who Dvds. I decided to continue buying each episode on Itunes. Its waaaaaay cheaper, but I don't get to watch them on my big screen TV. Oh well. At least I get to see them. I'm almost through the first season of the newer Doctor Who. The last of the Eccleston episodes. I got an Itunes card to score season 2 and some of season 3.
I also went to BUYMETOYS comic shop and got an Ultimate Spiderman comic and this Mahfood book I hadn't scored yet. I think I am gonna jump aboard the Ultimate books and start reading them. I really enjoy Ultimate Spiderman. The reason why is cause there is only ONE BOOK TO GET!!!!!!! I'd love to read whats known as the regular Marvel and DC universes, but each major character has 2-6 books dedicated to them a month, plus crossover specials, annuals, events... I'd be spending $200 a week on comics! Its too much for new readers to jump into. Very intimidating. Back when I used to read SUPERMAN religiously I got very frustrated with it all. Thats why I stopped. And that was over 12 years ago.
Also at BUY ME TOYS, I got the first WATCHMEN toy released this week: RORSHACH of course! I dunno if I will get the rest. One is good for me. I may get another Rorshach to open and play with. NERD!
I got home and got a DOCTOR WHO Tom Baker era DVD on ebay buy it now for pretty cheap. And then I broke down and decided to get that BATTLESTAR GALACTICA AUCTION book. I am told that its well worth the money, so I guess I couldn't resist.
I didn't get word balloons done yesterday as a result of all that. So I gotta finish it all this weekend hopefully. I am up to around page 80 or 90 out of 170. So I got a bit to go. But I touched up some pages artwise this week to make it more satisfactory to my expectations of myself. I don't want to phone anything in. I want it all to kick ass. So know that I put alot of effort into the things I do out there folks. I work hard for da money.
