Yes... and lube wasn't used either.

So the wife and I got our W-2's early and headed in excitedly to get our taxes done. We thought FOR SURE that since we got the new baby, we'd be rollin' outta there with some phat cash. We'd pay off our bills, pay for my tables and printing and get my plane ticket for san diego, all in one pop!

Not so.

Apparently, we didn't pay enough in. I thoguht we did but we didn't. So we ended up owing the government over $800! So, yeah. We gotta re-budget our budget and plans. The wife is taking it suprisingly well. After the last 15 years of not having to pay in, this is the first time I've ever had to pay something in. Its kinda odd. But of course this is the first year neither of us are students and now we're not considered "poor." We're now "middle class" status. So I guess lesson learned. We'll still make everything as planned. But for my end, I am gonna try to get some sales going and PRE-SALES on my comics and things I had planned. I'll have to rebudget and re-evaluate the plans. But not ALTER them. M'kay? So no worries.

How you can help is by ordering a commission from me. OR when I put up an announcement for a pre-order for one of my books, that you take advanatge of it. I'll be making announcements sometime in the next month or so about it all. So be on the lookout.

In other news, my boss is happy to report that the Pittsburgh Steelers are in the Super Bowl. (she's a HARDCORE Steelers fan. Even moreso of Ben Rothlesberger.) I guess thats who I am going for in the Bowl too. I woulda rooted for the Ravens if they won. If the Cards beat them, then I wouldn't be too dissapointed. they've come a long way from a losing team to a Super Bowl worthy team. I guess it will come down to who wants it more. Either way, I am excited to sit and watch it. I adjusted my work schedule to accomodate seeing it. No way I'd miss a superbowl!

The wife and I ate some ponderosa today, and stopped to the bookstore to grab some kids books for Scott and a magazine for me. Also a discounted calander. She's off to work now, so I think I will work on word balloons today. Maybe after a nap.

Cheers, T
