All in all, I'm trying to stay productive and not feel "land locked." Actually, I am quite enjoying what I am doing. I do have worries, such as how bills are gonna get paid, how my comic con travel plans are gonna pan out, but overall I am confident that things will fall into place. I applied for unemployment, so I should hear back from that soon. I'm gonna step up my submissions for actual DRAWING work. I think after I do some more WISE stuff today, I will work on sketch card submission stuff. I gotta break into that. I want it!

For now, we got food on the table, bills are squeaking by and the wife and I are not at each other's throats. She's being incredibly understanding and supportive. A lesser person would toss it in my face that she's the "breadwinner" of the family. I guess we've both come to realize this is an opportunity, more than anything else. It is not as though I didn't try to get a job. I dropped off a crapload of applications. Bottom line: the economy sucks and jobs are getting trimmed and dropped left and right. At my old job at the paper, there's only about 5 artists left. I mean, they fired all artists and my three old bosses. Had we never moved and I stayed there, I would likely have been one of them to go. Then I would be competing with every college fucker in town to get a job at a pizza parlor or something. A few of my friends and their family have lost thier jobs as well. It just sucks all around.

And yes, its his fault. By the way, recent documents released saying Bush condoned torture and loss of 4th amendment rights and wiretapping. So, awesome. Just saying folks. We knew it was happening, but we didn't stop it. So now we are dealing with it. Woe is us.
