Well, I'm off folks. Off to California for comic con. I cannot believe the day is here finally. Today will be alot of firsts for me. First time at an airport and on a plane as an adult. First time beyond the mid-west area. First time in California. and who knows what else?
The plan is to grab a cab after touch down and locate my pal Brian, who has our hotel info. Then locate food/grocieries/staples for the weekend. then try to hook up somewhere with drinks and spirits to celebrate.
To be honest, I really could use the vacation and the distraction. From all the things that happened this past week. The emotional ups and downs, I could seriously use a vacation. Plus, I know I will be missing my family real hardcore. So, there's that. But also I'm nervous. That things will be okay, I'll do awesome things and celebrate the reasons I finally am able and worthy enough to go. Also celebrating the opportunity to put my balls on the table and see if I can score something with my work. Its a grand opportunity. Whether I do or not really seems like a bonus at this point. After the last 8 years of saying I wanted to go, and then backing out, I finally have this dream come true. I'm going to the mecca of my chosen career. I'm prepared to have my mind blown and be whisked away on a magic carpet.
All in all, its an exciting time. I'll give full reports and pics when I get back on Sunday. I love you all. See yeh in a week!
