FRIDAY-Been up since 4am thursday. Hoping I would sleep in the afternoon before I had to leave to drive all night. Didn't happen. Always get that way, excited before a show. I do squeeze in about an hour or so, but not much else. I leave at 11pm thursday to pickup Dean in Mason. I get him around 1am Friday and we head on down. We actually make really good time and Dean makes the perfect driving mate, as he kept me awake and laughing the whole way.
We arrive and check into the Holiday Inn, which is a really nice hotel and they got a kick ass breakfast bar. We eat, drop off clothes, change and head to the show. We check in and set up. Immediately, I run into a bunch of people I know. Eric, Brett, Brian, Tim, Shawn and the PKD crew and more. My nieghbor is Tony Miello, who is the perfect con neighbor to have. An all around nice guy and has a killer amount of work to show.
Show opens and we sell decently. Even though the show floor was quite dead. Tim reports he sold alot and that makes me happy for the man. He's becoming quite the con veteran. He all growns up!
Dean opts to head out with his Comic Geek Speak podcast pals to dinner at a Mexican place and I head to the room to take a nap around 4. the con floor is absolutely a ghost town, so no worries. After a 3 hour nap, Tim calls and he comes up to my room to fuck. I mean, work on commissions. (I was joking about the other part. Just seeing if you are paying attention!) He's tired so he heads out. I head down to the bar where its very small and crowded. Grab a beer and chat with some of Brian's friends and some other people I cannot recall. I'm not feeling it really, as I'm still damn tired. Plus the atmosphere sucks. So I go back upstairs and pass out.
SATURDAY- Now fully 100% rested, I head to the con and have a pretty kick ass saturday. I sell lots of prints, some art and a few books. Overall, my best day. Made my table money back and more. I meet Bill, the dude across from me, who apparently called into our podcasts a few times. His nieghbors as well. I mostly stayed at my table all day and didn't walk around. Con closes at 6 and Tim and I drive over to the mall of the dead to grab a quick bite at the food court. We head back to watch the art auction. Tim's piece goes for a whopping $300! A personal best I think. Brian's combined pieces go for $150 total I think. Mine combined make $50. Not bad really. Not as bad as HEROES CON was! ($15, didn't even make the final cut!) Of course also, I picked some pretty obscure characters to do a piece for. So I was very pleased. Its all for charity! Dean shows up and wants to head back to the hotel, so we duck out early and head back, stopping off for food. I stay in the room, nursing a headache and fatugue/homesickness. Good thing I didn't head downstairs because there was a wedding party there all drunk and picking fights with my nerds. I watch the end of Hellboy 2 and pass out around 1am.
SUNDAY- We get up and checkout, gas up (where I stand in a puddle of gas I thought was water) and head to the show. My shoes reek of gasoline so I try to scrub them in the sink at the con (which gives me some odd looks from people). I spray em down with TAG, and over the day it starts to dissapate. I work on a couple commissions first thing and then walk around to score my buys. I get Joe Pekar's book, some PKD books, Bill and Tony's comics, a Doctor Who bootleg, a couple sketchbooks and neighbor Donny Salvo's comedy Cd. Sold a few more prints and I deem Pittsburgh Con 2009 a great success! I leave around 2:30 after the crowd dies down and we head out. Listen to the comedy album on the way home, which was good. Dean and I are flat exhausted so we just listen to music the bulk of the way home. I drop him off and head home, arriving around 11:30 pm. Open my mail, chat with the wife and vow to update the internet with pics and blog tomorrow.
All in all, Pittsburgh Con was a great time. I never got to see STAN LEE while he was there, but saw him in San Diego earlier, 3 times, so that works for me. I sold extremely well and will definitely be back in April! And now, some pics:

Hello. And Bye.
hi dudes. I'm honestly into shoes and I had been searching for the sake of that meticulous model. The prices for the boots are approximately 320 dollars everwhere. But for all I base this site selling them someone is concerned half price. I really love those gucci sneakers. I will probably buy these. what is your opinion?
