Hey all.
Today I turn 33. Still young but feelin' old as shit. Nah, I'm okay.
Its been a busy weekend of productivity and taking care of the kid. He's at the age now where he's into EVERYTHING! Literally everything. Like now he can get into our fridge. He got our eggs out and smashed a couple this morning. Even when I taped the door shut. Guess I'll have to get a gate to keep him out. And I'm still working on getting him to talk. Gonna put him in daycare soon for a few hours a week so he can get used to other kids and maybe be influenced to talk more. And daddy can have a break or a nice uninterrupted nap! :)
So, 33. Not a notable age really. My insurance don't go down. There's no milestone to be set. But its still a young age I guess. Its transitional. Not quite to the embarrassing stage of my generation feeling "old." I got a lot of good years left in me I guess. But I still feel a twinge of remorse that I am now older than Bill Hicks got to be, and he is one of my heroes. Why do I get to last longer than that man? Will or can I impact or influence people as much as he did and always will?
Its those things I think about. Like when I turned 28 I thought about me now being older than Joplin, Hendrix, Cobain, Morrisson. But I think back to 27 and how different I was then. I hadn't had shit figured out then! Maybe I still don't. I got a long way to go for that.
I just got the exciting news that the wife got an earlier flight back. Before she wasn't gonna be home till 10pm or later. Now its looking like 6-7pm. YAY! Best present ever.
Anyway, rest assured I am fine. I made it to 33 okay. I got a lot to do for the rest of the year. Lots of exciting things to come. Come geek out with me this year!

Well, you've certainly done more to influence my life, than Bill Hicks. I never cared for him much, but at least I've read through your comics and read your blog. You may not have gotten the national exposure, but I can say I have more respect for Adam Talley.
Happy 33rd!!
happy birthday! hope you don't lose sight of your goals, whatever they may be.
