Fun Days in the Fall Sun

Not much to report thats new on the artwork front so I will talk about everything else.

Football season started for me yesterday and the Lions pulled in a big win! I'm very excited for this season folks. I got a feelin' the Lions are gonna show us great things. Its exciting for us. Deal with it.

I went to Barnes and Noble yesterday and got a new Horrorhound mag, a couple Blu-rays that are 40% off and a nice Taschen GIL ELVGREN collection for $14.00! A nice haul. Been a while since I've been able to buy myself anything. Felt good.

Speaking of Horrorhound, I am kicking around the idea of going to Horrorhound Cincinnati in November. A possibility. We'll see. I've never been to a horror convention. And if I can get someone to split the table with, we'll see.

Been catching up with some TV. I watched some new Family Guys (not very good at all, I'm kinda done with the show), I saw the three newest Doctor Whos, which are very good. But the real thing I should mention is BREAKING BAD. Been watching that on Netflix. Its incredible. I'm about 9 episodes in and its wonderful. I cannot wait to check out the rest. Lastly, I rented Kevin Smith's RED STATE. It was okay. I felt at times I wanted it to go further but it does not. Its very talky. But there is a preacher character played by Michael Parks who I could watch talk all day long. I'd give it a 6 out of 10 or a C+, just cause of Parks. Worth a watch. I'm proud of Kevin though cause he's come a long way from the static two shot of two guys talking about Star Wars. There's movement and flow in the camera in this. At times its creepy but not over the top like I like and also I felt the message was a bit lost in translation. But its much much better than his last two films.

Well, I got a long day of artwork ahead of me. Back to work!!!
