My top 20 Movies of all time pt. 1

Time to update a list of my TOP 20 PERSONAL FAVORITE MOVIES OF ALL TIME.

KILL BILL 1-2. I count these as one cause they were shot at the same time. (my rules!) This is my favorite Tarantino movie by far. Takes two genres I love (Spaghetti Western and Martial Arts) and makes a kick ass combo that is spot on perfection. From the soundtrack, to the effects, to the style, just all of it rocks. And I love strong female lead characters. Tell me the Bride doesn't kick much ass! This is a movie I wish I had wrote and made.

JAWS. A film that I watch each time its on TV. I just love that last half when they get on the Orca and go shark hunting. Such a scary and exciting flick! Still holds up.

LAST CRUSADE. I know, everyone loves Raiders better. But for me, I've always loved Crusade. I mean you got Sean Connery and Ford kicking ass. Its so much fun to watch and I hoot and laugh and get excited each time I see it. Its Indy at his best.

High Fidelity. A film I found quite autobiographical back in the early 2000's. It used to be in my top ten, but sorta has fell a bit over the years. The main character is still me. Obsessed with music and details of music. The relationship stuff, eh, not anymore. But certainly the music obsession. Absolutely.

FULL METAL JACKET. The perfect war movie. So much subtext. You could write a 1,000 page book dissecting it and still not get it. Watch these videos cause he does a great job analyizing the fuck out of this film. Wonderful!

FREE ENTERPRISE. Any fan of film and a fan of STAR TREK the original series MUST see this movie. Absolutely!

FIGHT CLUB. Again, a film that defined my thoughts in the early 2000's. Such great social commentary and still relevant. I still quote this flick almost daily. In Tyler's wisdom, I trust.

CLERKS. Credit where credit is due, this flick made me appreciate a lot of things. and I was Dante to a point in the late 90's with my job at the time. Still resonates with me. I traveled to the damn filming locations in Jersey, so yeah, I'm a fan.

ALIENS. The greatest sci fi movie of the 80s. Ripley laid the archetype for my character ANNA POCALYPSE in this flick. Very quotable. Love it!

STAR WARS: EMPIRE STRIKES BACK. Man I watched this movie over and over. And still get sad when I see Han Solo frozen. Just a perfect movie.
