2012 Excitement

Its a new year. I watched the ball drop on TV alone last night while the wife was at work. Quiet and serene. Then I went to bed, reading some Game of Thrones on my ipad and passed out around 3am. A quiet end to a blah year for me. The ups and downs were great in 2011. But I am already on a path to excitement for the new year. I received some good news last night before midnight. Some news I shall keep to myself for the time being. But it already is a foreshadow to show that the world in 2012 indeed will be different. Its gonna be a great and very notable year already. More on that another time.

I thought this morning that I would do a list of things I am excited about this coming year. Also a list of my professional goals, so that way you can track me. So here is a list of 2012 things I am excited about...

1-Conventions! I only did one in 2011, and I miss them so much. I need to go to a new one very soon.
2-The Lions in the playoffs! For the first time since 1999. All that frustration every season is finally paying off. Its gonna be exciting. Even if they lose and are out in the wild card round or first round, I won't mind. Its been a great year. Good football games. Close, exciting games! I can't complain about that.
3-A New System. Here it is. I am up at 7am, getting ready to start work. Regulating my sleep and pattern into a new direction. You'll likely see more blogging from me just to get my mind juices flowing before I pick up the pencil. I plan to rock out on some artwork today. I feel the flow coming baby. then later, I am starting the exercise.
4-MOVIES! 2011 was so blah for movies. And 2012 has some killer looking movies coming out. Stuff like Spiderman reboot, Avengers, Prometheous (or however you spell that), The Dark Knight Rises, and that other thing. You know, the one about the guy who lived in the hole in the ground... My precious!!!
5-Books! I am gonna be reading a lot more. Once I finish Game of Thrones, I am gonna tackle the other books in the series. Plus I have to finish re-reading the Hobbit before the movie comes out.
6-Job Promotion? The wife is up for one. She's pretty much decided that this time is the one. Rumors have it that she is up for it and pretty much is the shoe in. Its down to her and another person. If she doesn't get it, I am gonna flip out beyond recognition. She completely deserves it. If she doesn't get it, we'll have to figure something else out from now on. Cause I am bound and determined to get out of debt for good. I just hate to see her upset cause she puts a lot of heart and soul into that job. I'd like to see she gets what she deserves. She is far better than I. But I don't know. This time feels different. I got a good feeling.
7-More House Cleaning. I was thinking this last week of getting rid of even more stuff. I am sitting on boxes of books and comics that I don't need. I think a great cleansing is about to begin. I might go from three bookcases full of shit down to two. Just helps free me up a bit. I like it.
8-Scott continuing school. He's in school now and learning to talk. He's getting better at it every day.
9-Cody visits. He turns 12 this year. He's at an age where I can talk to him sort of like an adult. Its an interesting time.
10 (This one I am going to keep to myself for the time being. But it is exciting. More on this later in the year.)

Now, a list of Professional Goals and Timeline for the year:

February - I will be appearing at the MSU Comics Forum on the campus of MSU in Lansing. My first "convention appearance" for the year. Also, my CHEESECAKE pinup/sketchbook will be released. And my Marvel/Upper Deck Sketch Cards will be completed.

May - Motor City Comic Con - Novi, Mi.

June - Heroes Con - Charlotte, NC

Summer - I will release my long awaited adult webcomic website and strips. I will also release Expendables 4 with Brett Pinson of Boomtown Press. Also I hope to complete the wife and I's kid friendly comic, "Warfish."

Fall - I will release ANNA POCALYPSE 2. This is a tentative date. It "may" be done before that. Depending on factors. Also first draft of my adult store memoirs should be completed and will be shopped around by this point.

October - I will release the long awaited one shot comic "Lingerie Party Massacre." I intend to take this to a couple horror conventions either end of the year or next year.

At some point in the year, depending on factors, I will be going to one or two more conventions. Also I have a short story erotica book that might come together at some point late in 2012. Perfect reading for the end of the world. :)

So I think that is it. I feel like I forgot something in there. But its a big workload. And there can always be more added. More sketch cards, more projects, commissions, paid work, etc. But thats on my radar right now. Busy year. Plus all the podcasts I do through PODCAST NATION will continue as always. Maybe a second draft of "IN THE TRENCHES?" We shall see won't we?
