The neverending saga. Well, the black moor is still acting up. He floats at the top, acting dead. Then rights himself and swims like normal. The white cloudy, cottony spots on him have slightly increased. I spent some time at the beloved Preuss Pets twice today (I could literally spend all day in there and love every second of it!) and got the water tested and then their vet took at look at my fish. He prescribed Metaflex, Salt stones and water change daily for a few days. Important to keep the ammonia down and the temp normal. So I am striving to do that. After following his steps, the fish seems about the same, if not a little better. He seems more active a bit, but still floating aimlessly at times. Poor guy. Everyone in the house is sick! The wife, kid and my fish all sick. I'm dodging these bullets like trains! But I am still committed to learning this fish stuff properly. I really am turning into Henry Limpett! Scary.
My wife started her own blog. So if you like what I write give her a view and a regular checkup follow right HERE.
I got some EXCELLENT news today as far as freelance gigs go. Its a dream come true for me in a way. No, not TREK related but still really, really great. Its gonna do wonders for my resume and get me even more exposure! (See folks? Hard work and perseverance pays off!) I cannot say what it is as it was deemed a secret. But once the contract is in my hands, signed and I have started on it, I will reveal if I can. Lets just say its gonna keep me busy for a while and I wanna do the best possible job on it that I can. I feel like when I've got other opportunities of this type, I let the bug of getting things done too fast to impress got to me, and I let quality slack on some of it. Not that I phoned it in, but I am looking at some of the work others are doing around me and its inspiring me to step up my game a bit. I definitely need to invest in some more Copic Markers! But I got offered this opportunity. I got so excited about it that I couldn't fall asleep to a much needed nap. I'm wide awake and excited about it!!! I know, its Non-News if I cannot reveal. And it makes me sound like I am verbally jerking off or something. But I cannot help it. Trust me, its cool.
The week is almost over and really I haven't got half of what I wanted to get done completed at all. Sickness and then I had to pick up a couple shifts at the day job. My co-worker lost her grandma. And we frankly need the money so I stepped up a bit and took some shifts. But, natch, I am way behind on my personal work. I got new pages thumbnailed. I can only hope I can get crunching this Friday-Monday. I got those days off, so all should work out I hope. I need to keep busy and keep it rocking. Not lose sight of it. Hopefully the things around me start to straighten out and things cooperate with me! We'll see.
Anyway, I'm off to maybe get some stuff done before work tonight. And of course, keep an eye on my poor sick fish.
Cheers, T
