Still Alive

Hey friends.

One week into my internet break and I gotta tell you how refreshing it is to sort of disconnect and live a bit. I only checked FB one time and offered my condolences to a friend who lost her beloved pet. I know I've missed wishing people happy birthdays and other probably important news, but so it goes. But I certainly am not missing the noise. A friend was telling me about some hoopla about Captain America and how the internet is blowing up about it. I'm blissfully unaware. Its great, I assure!

My last blog announcing my hiatus has got a lot of traffic to the site, and I appreciate it. I got messages of well wishes and luck from various sources and that feels really good. As a friend told me on Twitter: "If anyone deserves a break, its you!" And I agree with her! I also got some concerned messages to which I assure, again, I am fine! Just taking a break from it all. But as you can see here, I'm alive and fine. Still me. Still rolling. But very much still on break.

I don't exactly know what the word "break" means for me. I have kept myself quite busy this week while away. I worked a lot, had Memorial Day weekend with my boys, packed stuff for my eventual move, caught up with some newer TV, cleaned, shopped, listened to the new Radiohead and Jeff Buckley music, did some reading, writing on a couple projects, sketching, watched some movies with my girl and just basically lived. Its been good all around. I don't know how to "take a break" really. But disconnecting... let's just say that the experiment is quite worthwhile. It continues.

For those asking: I'm still waiting for the Kickstarter money to appear in my account so I can get rolling on printing the STARSLAM 2 books and get all of that taken care of. But other things are rolling on it. Hopefully this week I will hear something.

I don't know much else beyond that. I just wanted to check in with everyone and let you know I am still alive, doing fine and I will hit you with another blog sometime soon. For now, enjoy these pics from the last week. Your messages of support and love are much appreciated. I will return.

Took a mini-trip to the Lake. Water has such a calming effect. Wouldn't you agree?

Everything is getting framed for the upcoming move.

The boys are back in town.

Memorial Day dinner! Pot Roast, Taters and Dumplings with Biscuits.

This guy, right here.

....And this guy!

Too much sun and heat make Adam go crazy. Must return to artist cave where it is dark and cold!
