New Prints and Early 2011 Con thoughts....

Hey everyone! I finally made it to a copy store today and shrunk down the newest ANNA pages and scanned them in. Also some of the prints I have been working on I finished final colors today. Check it out. First up, a Wonder Woman:

And a Slave Leia:

I'm getting to where I am gaining some confidence in my coloring abilities. I think I would like to learn a bit more about varied pallettes, effects and other such things. Considering so far, I am all self taught at this, I don't think I'm doing TOO bad. Its not great, but its getting there! (I hope anyway. You agree or not? Lemme know!) These are the start of some new 11x17 prints I will have at shows. I got two more that I am working on currently that will blow your minds. One is a cool idea I got from a fan this year. Another is a GI JOE character who will wet yer whistles for sure. Consider yourselves warned.

Well, everyone is back from SAN DIEGO and after hearing the stories of over-crowding and the pain in the ass that is the show, I think I've pretty much talked myself out of going next year. Instead, I'll head back to HEROES CON again. Its a good show and more "down to earth" and a place where I can get face time with my pals. Its not too financially successful a show for me, but all I can do is bring my best and hope it works out. Hopefully in 2011, I'll get a better table spot. 2010, I was stuck facing the back wall and it REALLY hurt me! So let me spin the wheel one more time and see what 2011's luck will bring!

I think in addition to Heroes, MOTOR CITY is a definite. Then C2E2. Then maybe some other mid-west show. Maybe WWChicago or Mid-Ohio. Or if this DETROIT FANFARE show does well for me in October, that again. And still, something for Free Comic Book Day and other store appearances. So there! Thats my early planning.

As far as releases go, I've got Expendables #3 coming this October. I am shooting for December for ANNA POCALYPSE tradebook. Early 2011 for my new thick bound artbook and then squeezing in Expendables #4 before next summer. After that, who knows?

All in all, not a bad early plan. I'm just focusing on working on my work, getting it the best I can possibly do. Also learn new tricks, experiment with materials and themes and see what comes out. Its a very fertile time for me and I couldn't be happier.

OF COURSE---That doesn't mean I am not free for some commission work! I am always looking for some commission work! I may be doing a commission sale soon to drum up $$$ for Detroit Fanfare, so save your pennies now. It will be well worth it!

Anyway, thats all. Have a great weekend everyone!

Hello would you mind stating which blog platform you're using? I'm going to
start my own blog in the near future but I'm having a tough time making a decision between BlogEngine/Wordpress/B2evolution and Drupal. The reason I ask is because your layout seems different then most blogs and I'm looking for something completely unique.

P.S My apologies for getting off-topic but I had to ask!
