This has been something I have been thinking about for a while now. Too long, I have considered Facebook to be a burden and a glorious distraction from my overall goals I have set for myself personally and professionally. It was at its worst when I was addicted to some of the games on there, or the survey taking, etc. I've certainly mellowed out on that in the last few months. If anything, I've seen Facebook as a burden to log into and check. One of the thousands of websites I seem to distract myself with everyday. Valuable time that could be going into production.
It is with these things and others in mind that I have decided to completely distance myself from my "facebook personality." I will no longer post things about my family, politics or daily thoughts or happenings or any other such thing. The ONLY thing I will be posting there are things related to my artwork, links to sales, blogposts here and other such matters. Strictly professional. I've already deleted or hidden personal or family photos and have removed the ability to comment on anything I post. Its just easier that way.
Why am I doing this? Please don't read any deeper than simply what I stated above. No single person or incident caused this to happen. Its something I have been wrestling with for months. It is a desired goal that I delete my Facebook account all together. I may still in fact, do just that. But for now, I am softening the blow by remaining on in a professional only manner. This means any correspondence of a personal nature (not relating to my art, comics business or Idiothead.com business in general) will go unanswered there. If you desire to see my day to day thoughts, I have many other websites you can follow such as twitter, my YOUTUBE Channel, and right here at Idiothead.com. Also I have a personal email address at: phymns@yahoo.com -- I answer all emails. Nothing ever goes unanswered.
So please note that anything of a personal nature sent to me through FB will be ignored or deleted. If you want to get ahold of me, use one of the above methods. However if you want to keep informed on me and my work, keep my FB page alive. It is only for that purpose from now on. If you feel the need to hide my feed or delete me as a "friend" on there because of this, I completely understand. No harm, no foul. I just need to disconnect a bit and feel that my time is better spent elsewhere and in an environment I can better channel and control toward my goals. Its about cutting away the things that are holding me back. All a part of the constant evolution of me. Read no deeper into it than that.
Thanks for reading!
loves, T

good for you, sir!
Trouble is, Facebook is WAY better at communicating, that Twitter. I really can't stand the limited functions of Twitter. I only use Twitter for short posts, but can share more info via Facebook. If I had to chose, I'd go Facebook (even with the added garbage). But, I can still try to reach you via your email. Just remember how quick we were able to communicate on Facebook with the McCartney concert - you may not get that with Twitter.
